The mouse is so adorable, I've printed the pattern out so I can take it home and work on it tonight!

All I did was measure the circumference of the top tube on my bike, and then I decided how wide to make each cable, and casted on accordingly to whatever was going to be closest to the width that I needed. I then just repeated cables until it was as long as I wanted it. You could do this with any sort of pattern! I then sewed the piece of fabric around my top tube, and viola! A bike sweater was born.

I really like how the bias strips remind me of plaid. It turned out really good!
