Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a great December and January!  Grin
Well, I finally marked my quilt top.  Unfortunately the photo is washed out.

I also pin basted it.  I took this photo with many more pins to go.  Cheesy

I plan to start the quilting next weekend.

Kittymom13 - I hope your quilt top isn't yelling too loudly.  Grin
I finished my baby quilt top.  Smiley

(The red fabric on the very bottom is a curtain, not part of the baby quilt  Wink)

This is the fabric that I'm going to use for the backing.

Thanks for looking!

I finished the quilt top! The bottom border is really there.   Wink

I plan to machine quilt this.  I need to practice free motion quilting and I think this quilt will be the perfect size on which to do that.
Thanks for looking.  Cheesy

Me again  Cheesy
I sewed the blocks together for my quilt.  Here is a photo of 4 of them.

I'm currently washing the fabric for the inner border.
Hopefully, I'll have the top finished within the week!!
Cheers to everyone!  Cheesy

9  Cascading blocks baby quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by OnlySiamese on: June 06, 2010 11:00:42 AM
This is my interpretation of the Cascading Blocks pattern by Nanette Merrill.  The pattern appeared in Fons and Porter's Baby Quilts 2008 magazine.  I really fell in love with her pattern.  Cheesy

I really loved this fabric.

Sorry the photos are so dark.  Naturally I finished it the night before the baby shower, so I didn't have time to take photos in daylight!  Cheesy
I machine quilted a sun motif for the top and bottom border and rockets and comets in the squares.
The top

The bottom

Border 7!!
I actually finished this awhile ago, but I didn't have time to take a pic.
When I did, I didn't have time to iron it!!  Please excuse the fold marks.  Grin

This border is called "Streak of Lightening".
It was my first time with that pattern and I really like its graphic nature.
Thanks for looking.  Smiley
