I'm performing with a maid cafe group at an anime convention this month, and decided to sew my own outfit instead of buying one.  This is only the second time I've made anything with a bodice, so I was really nervous about it XD



I made the ruffled underskirt, the black overdress, the apron, the ribbon choker, and the maid headdress.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, although the bodice fit came out a little wonky.  Having the apron tied help though, so it's definitely usable for my performance

I received from Ithinktomuch at the beginning of this week, but haven't had time to post pics until now.  Everything's really cute, and I got so much yummy tea!!

She sent me a wooden tea chest, a tea pouch, and a rose candle, as well as Stash green tea and Lipton black teas.  She also sent a huge collection of tea quotes on slips of paper with everything.  My favorite is "A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.  ~Nancy Reagan"

So I got a sewing machine 2 months ago and finally got around to actually making something with it!

It's a messenger bag made from really trippy flower fabric The strap is made from black seatbelt material.



And here's the inside with pockets.  The contrast stitching I did by hand.

Beautiful butterfly bobby pins.  I'm going to wear them to my class ring delivery on saturday!


Three sets of cute glass marble bobby pins.  The top pair has a picture of a deer and a racoon, the middle pair has a picture of a violin and music notes, and the bottom pair has a picture of a Degas ballerina.

Awhile ago I decided to paint my dresser drawers with a mural of a cherry tree branch.  The character in the bottom right is Love.



It makes me very happy, and it's the first large mural I've painted in awhile.
