31  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Miyazaki's Forest Spirits on: November 29, 2008 06:51:55 AM

I loved those little spirits in the movie, and I kept wishing I could find a plushie of them. I might have to make one of my own now!

33  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Mini Boomkin! on: November 29, 2008 06:44:56 AM
Not quite as awesome as this one, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=262766.0 but she inspired me to share!

I recently started making little amigurumi-type critters and after I made my first one (octupus), my husband decided I should make him a Boomkin next (his main character in World of Warcraft- we play together), and a Hearthstone (an item in World of Warcraft). The Boomkin's a little small, and I might remake him into a larger plushie if I get the chance. He's next to a pen in the photo to get an idea of his size.

The Hearthstone is actually filled with rice and doubles as a hacky-sack.

Also, anyone have recommendations for a good beginner's site for learning how to read crochet patterns and learn stitches? I just wing it and don't really know what I'm doing. Thanks! Smiley

Very cute, I really should make something WoW related for my husband, he'd go nuts for something like this (although would probably prefer a Succubus). Grin
