11  Pillow help??? in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by pamdelangel on: February 18, 2008 06:37:01 AM
So I have these wonderfully soft and cushy dark brown leather sofas, I didn't pick these things I caved in because I get my way in every other aspect of decorating so I let the hubby have these without fussing. :p But the pillows that we have for them I absolutly LOATHE them, they are so ugly. I was wondering would a floral pillow to balance the manly-ness of the couch look alright? Not huge flowers but a small floral print. Or do you have any suggestions?

My living room is SO blank because we moved into a MUCH larger place and the artwork I use to have up looks silly on such HUGE walls Smiley

12  First sewing projects!! APRONS! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by pamdelangel on: February 18, 2008 06:30:16 AM
So I decided to take a stab (and yes I stabbed my poor fingers way too many to count) at sewing & borrowed my mother's machine. I did some pillowcases but those don't count, they were to practice my lines (which HAVE gotten a bit straighter YAY) Anyways I think it would be awesome to have an apron for everyday of the week and then some so I made myself a full & half apron. The half was the first one I made and the full I understood a bit more what I did. No patterns, just fun Smiley I think the full one look like a summer dress my husband got home just as I was doing the final try-on of the apron making sure it fit how it's supposed to and said "i thought you were making an apron not a dress" and then laughed when he saw the back was just a piece of ribbon :p

Anyways enough chit-chat I'm excited to present my aprons!!! Smiley What do y'all think for my first real sewing projects?

Oh this apron isn't as off looking in real life as it look in these pictures :p

:p Don't mind the dirty spare room

15  Photography Projects for 2008... (implied nudity) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by pamdelangel on: February 04, 2008 10:16:43 AM
so when 2008 came to be I looked back on 2007 and it seemed like a boring waste of a year. So I decided to pursue my crafts & hobbies more...maybe make some money off of them if possible.  Roll Eyes

I'm putting together some photography projects together & here are some shoots from January. Smiley Not a bad start to the year. I just wanted to share what I've been up to..and ask what y'all thought of these..I might turn these into blurb books. Smiley
