Thanks for the advice! Most of my plan was as you suggested, except I had not thought of the fabric glue...Good tip!

I was looking for coat patterns, and I agree that that one seems to be the best!

I would probably go with a wool for the coat.

I'm not making the coat but I'm making the skirt.  Just waiting for my rick rack and some free time.  In all honesty it probably won't happen until mid December.
