1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Flower pens for your desk...from The Big-Ass Book Of Crafts on: September 13, 2009 09:48:49 AM
Thanks to TBABOC for this project.  I needed to brighten up my desk area so I took an old candy tin, covered it with leftover felt and ribbon, and filled it with these pretty flower pens!

The entire project cost maybe $6:
Cheap pens $1
Flower tape .88
Floral wire .88
Flowers from Wally World  $3

I always see crafts like these in books and think 'Oh god yeah that looks simple but *shudder* something new!' ...its a good craft to do if you're looking to accomplish something quickly and easily!

This whole project took one episode of Buffy.
Have fun!

3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: metalic-plastic-ish wrap on: April 23, 2009 02:13:35 PM
Yikes, aside from wrapping paper and notebook binding, I'm a bit stuck too!
Would any of it work for a collage?  You could cut it in strips and weave it into something fun and waterproof, like coasters or place mats.  You could go decoupage crazy!
