1  Flower pens for your desk...from The Big-Ass Book Of Crafts in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by MrsNickeldime on: September 13, 2009 09:48:49 AM
Thanks to TBABOC for this project.  I needed to brighten up my desk area so I took an old candy tin, covered it with leftover felt and ribbon, and filled it with these pretty flower pens!

The entire project cost maybe $6:
Cheap pens $1
Flower tape .88
Floral wire .88
Flowers from Wally World  $3

I always see crafts like these in books and think 'Oh god yeah that looks simple but *shudder* something new!' ...its a good craft to do if you're looking to accomplish something quickly and easily!

This whole project took one episode of Buffy.
Have fun!

2  1950s Schwinn Breeze in What the heck can I do with THIS? by MrsNickeldime on: November 17, 2008 05:30:49 PM
my husband bought me this great old bike off of craig's list, but when we got it home, we realized she was no longer street-worthy...i learned this the hard way (downhill!)

she's such a 'tomato' though, and i really don't think she deserves bulky trash day just yet.
i'd be extremely grateful to anyone who can help me come up with an excuse to keep her.   Huh
