1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Eugene Krabs...at last! on: July 26, 2011 11:53:20 PM
Hey Maryrose710 - thanks! The pattern is by mama24boyz, she has an Etsy shop where you can get the pattern for Mr Krabs (and the rest of the gang) - I'd definitely recommend her patterns! Smiley

I am posting pictures of what I sent to New2ItAll - I am absolutely gutted that my parcel didn't make it to New2ItAll. I am sort of hoping that it might still arrive or that it will somehow find an appreciative home...

Anyhow - here is what I made (only one group shot really showed everything up as I stupidly took the pictures on my brightly coloured rug!)

In my local poundland I bought:
24 felt dusters - they were blue, yellow, green and pink and about 12" square - total cost 1
One pink and white polka dot baby fleece (1m square) - total cost 1
3 plain wooden picture frames 5" x 7" - total cost 1
One crochet-edge cotton table runner - total cost 1
One pair fluffy kids socks - total cost 1
One 'craft pack' of assorted sequins - total cost 1
Total Spend = 6

I used toy eyes and a few scraps of material and beads from my stash and I made these things:

3x decorated picture frames
Binky bunny - from the polka dot fleece with her very own matching blanket.
8x finger puppets - from the felt dusters, I made an octopus, giraffe, dragon, butterfly, elephant, pig, rabbit and chick.
Sock monkey - from the super soft fluffy socks
Mini-tote bag (for carrying around super-fluffy sock monkey maybe?!) (I made this out of the cotton table runner material).
Beach scene and River scene - to play with the extras I threw in - some farm yard animals! Smiley (Made from the left over felt dusters!)

I had so much fun crafting for this swap! Shame to get so let down by the Royal Mail Sad

Wow - everything in the gallery is amazing, so creative! Smiley

I received from the lovely missdolly last week (I have been appalingly slow at getting pictures up, especially as I am so excited by my package - but sadly my life has mainly been spent at work - even the pictures are sneaked on my desk at work so I haven't had a chance to upload them until now).

Anyhow - missdolly completely spoiled me!

She sent me this cute little book bag (how she knew I love to read I am really not too sure!) And filled it with information and a couple of books about haunted Liverpool (I am saving these for when we go camping next as scary stories and camping is a bit of a tradition!)

In the books were these amazing bookmarks:

Which are already in use! Smiley Thank you!

And... yes, there is more...

All these lovely things  Grin mini bubble bath/shower gels, the most delicious smelling candles (strawberry and champagne - excellent combination) kitty collars - Titan and Quaffle (our two kitties were super happy to be thought of and they look very handsome in their new attire -though they would not let me get a picture to prove it!) Marbles - I did try to take a picture of them because they are beautiful, but it turns out I couldn't do them justice (they're in the little bag, and they came with a little accompanying book about Marbles) They are to represent the glass that is made local to where missdolly lives! Smiley And my husband has claimed them for his own!
Missdolly also included a few postcards - they're already up on my noticeboard and some worry dolls (they're on one of the postcards) - I have never had worry dolls before, though I have always admired them and I have been having quite a stressful time at work recently so these are totally in use!

But wait, there is even more! (Like I said, spoiled much?!)

The most giant sock monkey ever! He is amazing - in red and white which is the local rugby club colours. Love him and have named him Gerald. He is in pride of place on the shelves in my craft room.
Also - a big piece of material which has lots of different things, spider web, music etc sort of printed on in a sketched way - can't wait to make something with this!
A little zipper pouch and keyring which I have already put to good use to store all my work ID and keys Smiley (I feel so much more organised now). Missdolly made some cute glass-marble magnets (If you look super carefully they are in the picture Wink) which are holding things onto the filing cabinet in my office to brighten the place up a bit! Smiley
And finally, a lovely tote bag - I opened the parcel with a couple of my work colleagues (who were super impressed by everything) but they both said that the bag was very 'me' and I do absolutely love it! Have been carrying it around neatly folded and got green clubcard points in Tesco using it the other day!

Thank you so much missdolly - you have been awesome I love everything completely! Thank you!

Great parcel! I agree - that tablet does look beyond amazing - no wonder you were on a sugar high!

Everything in the gallery is so amazing - people have been so creative, I think I've been kind of pedestrian with my ideas in comparison!

I love the melted-bead owl - I want to try, but I am also anxious not to set my kitchen on fire by accident - lovesclutter would you mind explaining how you made them melt please? (I have never tried melting stuff before....husband insists on more direction before I am allowed to try!)

I have one idea... not sure if it is a good one or not though. Am planning on getting started this Sunday - sounds like it's going to be the weather for an indoorsy crafting type day!

Just checking in... I think I am pretty much all planned out now - so hopefully will get finished over this weekend.

Twin Peaks Dollar Store! Shocked Not so much scary, but I have found our local PoundLand attracts rude people who are mean to the cashiers Sad Nearly got into a fight with one man the other day when he started to yell at the checkout girl because she wouldn't sell him one thing for 50p when it was buy two for 1...  Shocked

Yey! Partners soon - can't wait! Smiley
Also - to add to the weather reports - I can confirm that it is not raining here! Grin It's kinda muggy though... Sad
