1  Re: Shedir-Knitty Fall 04 in Knitting: Completed Projects by zoe84 on: January 04, 2005 03:39:38 PM
Finished this about a week ago.  It took forever to knit even using the thicker yarn!  From looking at the other pics, I think I prefer the look of the suggested yarn.  I doubt I'll make another though.

Sorry for the crappy pics!

The decreases only ended up with six points b/c I casted on 96 stitches instead of 128.

This pic shows the rather obvious holes from the increases.  Oh well.

Overall I think it turned out okay.

2  Advice Needed in Knitting: Completed Projects by zoe84 on: January 04, 2005 02:58:21 PM
I have been making needles with clay toppers.  When I saw a sculpey clay mold set on sale at Joann's, I figured they would make cute needle tops.  The problem is now I can't figure out how to attach the figures! Previously, I wound the clay around the stick to create a spiral pattern, but these are flat.  Any suggestions are appreciated!

Edited to add: the first needle toppers I made
