11  bubble dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lizzyemmcreith on: October 24, 2009 01:44:47 PM
I made this dress form an enormous dress my brother (don't ask) bought at frenchy's. I only used fabric from the skirt from the dress, because the bodice was falling apart. And sequined. I used mynailsarepink1's tute http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=317017.0
I only used the pattern for the bust, the rest I did myself. The back is not completely finished, but it will have a sort of lace-up back.
here it is:

thanks for looking!
PS- if anyone could tell me how to make my pictures bigger, that would be awesome. thanks!

oh hey there. I made some hair clips with some stuff I had lying around. I used hot glue to glue them all together.
here are the pics:

Unfortunately, they all fell apart. Any ideas on how to get them to not do that?

13  duck tape shoes in Shoes: Completed Projects by lizzyemmcreith on: July 29, 2009 03:05:00 PM
I was inspired by a camp counselor's pink duck tape to make these sandals. The soles are some flip flops I got for a dollar and cut the strap off, and then covered them with tape.

14  Fruit Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lizzyemmcreith on: June 10, 2009 02:45:36 PM
This is a bag I made after I finished off the frozen fruit for a smoothie. It's really simple, and I'm not much of a sewer, but here it is.
This is the front:

This is the back (not so pretty, but I like it)

I guess soap and water didn't completely work to wash it, because it still smells like fruit. oh well. I'll wash it again.

15  Flip flop socks! in Knitting: Completed Projects by lizzyemmcreith on: May 31, 2009 11:39:03 AM
These are my first socks, and I decided to make them flip flop socks. I didn't use a pattern, except I had one handy to do the heel, since I'd never knit one before. They worked well, except they're pretty warm, which is sort of not what you want when you're wearing flip flops.
Here they are with flip flops:

And here they are without:

16  woven book pages bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lizzyemmcreith on: May 31, 2009 11:32:11 AM
Hello! This is a bag I made out of book pages. I bought a falling-apart book from the library to make a bag out of the cover (which I gave away without taking any pictures), and I had a whole book of paper that I didn't want to throw away. so I cut lots and lots of strips of paper and wove them together into a bag. I mod podged the strips together and created several rectangles which I unsuccessfully tried to mod podge together. So I whipped out the duct tape and used that instead. I snagged some handles from a birthday bag, and voila!

17  Felted messenger bag in Knitting: Completed Projects by lizzyemmcreith on: May 31, 2009 11:21:42 AM
Hi everyone! this is a bag I made myself last summer. It's inspired by a pattern in Knitgrrl by Shannon Okey, but the pattern is by Heather Brack. I originally made the strap too long, so I cut a piece off and stitched it onto the front to make a pocket. This was my first attempt at felting, and I must say it went well. hope you like it!

18  Plastic bag sandals!! in Shoes: Completed Projects by lizzyemmcreith on: May 31, 2009 10:05:46 AM
Hi everyone! This is my first post, I'll apologize in advance for any mistakes. I made
these for a friend as a birthday present, and they're made entirely out of plastic bags.
(except the thread). I fused several layers of plastic bags together with an iron, and
used a red bag on top to get red plastic. The biggest problem with them is that the
bottom is pretty flimsy. I sewed two layers of fused plastic bags together and stuffed
them with plastic bag scraps, but I think next time I'll buy a cheap pair of flip flops
and get rid of the straps, then sew the plastic bags around the bottoms of the flip flops.
