immediately upon seeing this vivat veritas pattern: http://grosgrainfabulous.blogspot.com/2011/05/free-pattern-month-day-18-vivat-veritas.html#lotus i thought about doing circle cut outs in the scallop waist... which after much procrastinating has finally been achieved... i gave my skirt a back zip instead of a side, and angled the waist band at the zipper rather than leaving the straight line she had... the waist still jumps away from my body a little bit 'cause i used a stiffer fabric... but i'm overall pretty happy, happy enough to share at least... comments and criticisms welcome and appreciated...

this is my first time successfully making a top from scratch, it's pretty basic, but i really like the way it came out... and i love this fabric! don't know if you can tell from the pics, but there are cute little guitars, drums and keyboards embroidered on it...

i haven't hemmed it yet, and since it's already dangerously short, i think i'll just finish it with ribbon or bias tape, should i go with black, or a contrasting color like pink?!?

this started out as an adult sized tshirt... i took in the sides, took off the sleves, changed the neckline, and shortened it (a little too much originally, hence the waistband, but i like how that turned out, so i'm glad i screwed up initially...)

These are shirts that I experimented with over the summer. All handpainted with acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium. They are up for sale along with many of my older DIYs at my shop. :]


This has butterflies and random swirls and other things. The silver paint is metallic! :O
i just got this in the mail now, it looks even better in person!.. fits great too, thank you...
