1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Is anybody familiar with the Singer 6106? on: June 28, 2009 07:01:36 PM
I have experience with many different types of machines, but i'm stumped. Help! I inherited a Singer 6106, along with a few other machines, about ten years ago. It's been sitting in the attic. Now i've just opened it for the first time.

It looks like this:

It's hard to see in these pictures, but there's a horizontal stitch selector dial on top of the machine. Next to each selection are two stitches. The first set is printed in black. I can do these stitches. The other set is in red. How do i do the red stitches?

I found a manual online, but it was extremely generalized, to apply to several models, didn't address this issue!

ok, i know this is probably so basic as to be embarrassing, but i've been scouring the internet for instructions to cut and fold one page into a little booklet. I know i've seen this before, and it seems like the kind of thing i should be able to just figure out by pondering, but i can't. Please help, craftsters!

It's lovely! The old fashioned toys are so great, toys that encourage imagination.

The argyle is genius. Everyone who looks at this is kicking themselves for not having thought of it first.

I feel nipples and bellybuttons are essential and under-estimated elements of a quality plush.
