1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Snow Yoda on: November 07, 2008 09:58:27 AM
My mom and I made this snow yoda...to color him filled up spray bottles with water and added food coloring. I made a Darth Vader on the other side of the driveway but when we woke up the next morning to spray them Darth's head had fallen off!

that looks great! so much better than a store bought costume!

When he said he wanted to be Bumblebee my mom first went to the store to see what their costume looked like to get ideas but when she saw it she decided to go off of the toys instead. It worked out really well being able to turn it over in her hands to see how to make the costume. I've been showing her the replies and she's really happy everyone likes it so much! Grin
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Bridal Shower Candle Favors on: November 06, 2008 01:25:33 PM
For my best friend's bridal shower I was in charge of the favors. The theme was red/black/white and cherries so I made these!

I used black cherry wax tarts to make them smell nice & used red crayons to add more red. They were a big hit!

the martini glasses were for the bride & groom!

8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Transformer Bumblebee on: November 06, 2008 09:51:21 AM
My nephew wanted to be Bumblebee from the Transformers for Halloween so my mom made him this costume...

(blacked out his face cause my bro/sis-in-law never got back to me to let me know if I could post the pics or not)

We bought black sweatpants and sweatshirt as the base, then spraypainted a bike helmet, and finished up with a lot of spraypainted foam hotglued or velcroed into place! To do the Transformers symbol my mom created a stencil then painted it on with craftpaint.

Used LED lights in the helmet and Transformers symbol
