i'm expecting my first child and so "project nursery" has been weighing heavily in my mind for the last few months. in one week i purches THREE convertible cribs, but kept returning them because i think spending $500 on a crib is an atrocious amount of money. plus the style of them were not quite "right" in my eyes.

so i saw this ad for a used crib and bought it for $100
fugly. i know. the feet - abomination.
being 7 months pregnant at the time, my friends helped me sand, prime and paint it to this beautiful work of art

this is what the furniture looks like so far. the dresser is an ikea malm model. instead of painting the drawers, hubby and i bought one dark, one white and swapped them. the white dresser with dark drawers lives in the closet (because... is it really necessary to hang baby clothes on hangers?
