1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: I made a divider curtain! on: July 24, 2008 09:39:29 PM
That's an awesome idea!  I don't have a place where I'd be able to put one of those, but I'd love to use one!

How well does the adjustable curtain rod hold up the room divider?

It's working really well! I actually had one of DH's wallhangings up before, so it's been up for a while (the rod I mean). I think it's going to work really well!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / I made a divider curtain! on: July 24, 2008 03:00:13 PM

I needed a curtain to go between the work room and the living room. I wanted it to be two layers thick because J uses the workroom to role play or meet with his gaming buddies, so I wanted something that would block the noise.

I came up with this. Its kind of cool- some vintage patchwork squares that Ive found, some fabric that I love put it all together and voila! You have a quilted curtain!

First, the living room side. This is my favorite side:

And the workroom side:

Heres a closer look at the patchwork on the workroom side, since its hidden behind the shelf.

Thanks for looking!

It's lovely. What are the dimensions?
I love the colors and the design. I bet she does too.
Sorry to hear about her pain. I'm sure this gift will help her heal.

They were approximately 12x18 I think.
I haven't seen it in her house yet, but she says she hung it up in her living room.
Thanks for looking- all of you! Smiley

I made this wallhanging for my SIL who recently had her 2nd tubal pregnancy and now cannot have children. Sad It's definitely not the best thing I've ever created, but it was a learning process!!

I didn't quite know where to put this. Its not really quilting, but I didn't really see a place to put other sewing stuff. Anyway, this book is touchable, so it's great for kiddos to check out.

Cover: those tabby bits were taken from a baby toy. theyhave that crnkly paper stuff inside.
