1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Cool Baby Gifts on: November 24, 2008 06:51:40 AM
Here are some cute baby things that I made for my cousin who is having a baby girl.  This is a long awaited baby, so I really wanted to make this special.

Bib, Taggie Blanket, Burp Cloth and Wipe Case.

Here is the bib.  I used this really cute girl ducky flannel and the rick rack looks similiar to the fabric on the back of the bib.

Another shot of the bib with the back overlapping the front.

Taggie Blanket.

Wipe Case.  I had never made one before and I was surprised by how easy it was to make and how good it turned out.

Burp Cloth.  With back overlapping the front.  The rick-rack is the same as on the bib, and it still looks good.

I am so proud of how all of this turned out.  Thanks for looking.

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 2 kid's purses from capris on: November 17, 2008 08:34:22 AM
Hey, this is my first post.  So I hope I'm doing this right.
I had some denim capris that I dearly loved and one day they split at the crotch 1/2" away from the seam.  I repaired them and repaired them, then I faced facts that they needed to be recycled.   So I made 3 kids-size purses out of them (only 2 pictured, I made the 3rd a gift and wrapped it up before I  got a pic of it).  My 2 girls love their new purses.

In case you can't see them, the pink strapped one has Care Bears on the pocket and the purse one has Strawberry Shortcake.

I didn't use a pattern for this.  I made one.  I may one day post a tutorial for it in the future.

Thanks for looking!
