1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Altered Keys! on: December 19, 2011 01:22:42 PM
Hi there! Just thought I'd like to show you what I made yesterday. I recieved some house keys in a supply swap a while ago and it wasnt until yesterday I came across these beautiful little things http://mysalvagedtreasures.blogspot.com/2011/03/visions-of-spring-repurposed-jewelry.html
that I thought I might give it a go too! They were super duper fun to make, I made them all in one afternoon because I was having so much fun I couldn't stop!
So here are my keys that I made into pendants or hanging ornaments, made from broken jewelery, buttons and gems Smiley

I think this one is my favourite Smiley
Thanks for looking Smiley
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / My Queen Band Shirt! on: October 29, 2011 09:48:00 PM

So my all time favourite band is Queen.

I REALLY wanted a tshirt to show this fact off, so I started looking on the official website to purchase one but shipping was SO expensive!
So of course I did the crafty thing and made this one out of freezer paper. First go too, which I was surprised with because I was afraid it would bleed somewhere along the line! I had to modify the crown, and the edges aren't very crisp in some places (that's what happens when I get imapatient in between drying times and pulling off the stencil to see if it worked!)

BUT Freddy mustve been smiling down on me that day because it didn't turn out too bad! Smiley

I made up the gold paint from acrylic gold and some fabric paint medium (the clear stuff that you mix in).
So far so good with washing.  Grin
