Thanks so much for sharing the pattern.  I've started a pair for my step-mom for Christmas.  It'll be a great secret santa gift.  I'm making them with a K hook and Lion Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, just one strand.  They are turning out warm and soft.

This is my first post.  So, a friend of mine had this really cute knit ear warmer thingy that she bought at one of those designer stores. (Abercromie?  I dunno.)  I thought it was cute and I figured I could make something like it in crochet.  Using yarn from my stash and a few false starts I had to rip, I made this while watching Wall-E the other night.
