I love these dresses! Such a sweet simple design. So why cant I figure them out??
Did you sew the lace trim on after adding the solid color insert or was it sewn in at the same time??

Also the little bow, is it removable or permanently sewn on?

Thanks for any help!

what a great job! I can't wait to see what you whip up after you have been sewing for a year.

I love the polka dots dress!

what an awesome repair! I have had to use the same technique to "fix" Daddy's laundry mistakes.

Soo sorry abut my no-linky faux pause, please forgive!!!

I used this link:  http://indietutes.blogspot.com/2009/03/pt-1-button-down-shirts-to-circle-skirt.html
to get the basics of circle skirt making 101. Then made one-of-a-kind bodices for my girls...very skinny things. The 4yr old has an 18in waist Shocked Same as the 2yr old  Shocked Shocked
They are just a pull over top, no zipper or buttons for me yet, still a learner over here!

Thanks for the kind comments!

I make a smaller version of your bag and use it as a wristlet...mini wallet, cell phone and keys...and it works great! never thought of a mini diaper bag, great idea.

I had a jacket made out of this SAME material when I was  Huh years old. My grandma asked me the same questions...pick out a fabric and a pattern to make.  Thanks for the memory trip!

So I am a lifetime lurker....always watching.  Shocked
So after making a few items for my girls I got the itch to get them twirling.
I used Vegbee's twirl skirt tute and figured the bodice myself.

C&C  please and thanks!

what a cutie!
Every project is a learning experience..some more trying than others.
I still have to walk thru my french seams before I start sewing...or I am seam ripping for days Cry
