1  Why do birds (& hedwig), suddenly appear.. in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by miss_joy on: July 16, 2007 05:28:32 AM
i think i have an obsession with crochet birds.. like there was this one time where i had about 20 crochet birds flying around in my room.

but it's okay.. in the end, i gave them to my friends as graduation gifts!  Smiley

and i kept my favorites Grin the blue with gold wings is for my bf to hang on his car. he has a blue subaru with gold rims and he requested that bird for his car. i ended up making two to keep one for myself. heheh!

these two are my favorite from all of my favorites =D i made these last year and i waited a year to give it to my bf for our anniversary  Wink

Hedwig for CheyElizabeth  Smiley I really had fun making him and I hope he resembles Hedwig even just a little bit.. heheh! he's 3 1/2 inches tall.

8  Re: Ribbed Ear Flap Hat w/ Pom Poms! in Crochet: Completed Projects by miss_joy on: December 13, 2006 09:26:15 PM
Here's the hat!

Please excuse the slightly insane look on my face. It's finals week.

I'm sooo pleased with the results, although I decided to leave off the other two pom poms. Partially because I ran out of yarn, and partially because I like it without them. All my friends want me to make them one for christmas!

Thank you so much, miss joy. This ROCKS.

thank you for posting the pics! it looks grreeeaatt on you!! i'm glad you're pleased with the results =) that makes me happy! and is your necklace made out of buttons? it's pretty! lol don't mind me.. i have a thing for buttons.. haha! take care!

9  Ribbed Ear Flap Hat w/ Pom Poms! in Crochet: Completed Projects by miss_joy on: November 27, 2006 06:36:49 PM
I made this last year but never got a chance to wear it. I wore it to one of the family gatherings and the cousins loved it so I decided to post it. I remember using a pattern at first but then decided to change it so it can have a ribbed effect (front post dc and back post dc) and then i added an ear flap cause i always wanted one. Hope you guys like it as much as they do!

***the links i used and the ribbing can be found in the 2nd page Smiley***

here are the cousins with the hat:

i made another one!!! but this time, no earflaps. i was going to at least add pompoms to the top but then i forgot i was working with wool and it came out way tooo puffy XD since i made the other hat last year, I had to make sure I was giving people the right info on how to make the hat. thanks again everyone for the comments =)

it would have been cuter with pom poms at the top..

10  Re: amigurumi panda & pig & penguin! (with tutorials!) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by miss_joy on: December 18, 2005 10:34:12 PM

I made this for a friend of mine. I combined patterns from mmmfruit and shannon. The wings and the tail was from the aerial pig pattern by shannon and the rest was from mmmfruit. This is my first amigurumi (i learned how to crochet this late november). once again, thanks for sharing the pattern. i am now addicted to amigurumi!
