# of Flakers: 1

Include the names and info of the people who need angels:
Schnerby -

Possible Angels - Schnerby has been waiting a LONG LONG LONG time for her EEPP.  I kept giving her partner the benefit of the doubt and I guess I shouldn't have.  We'd like a quick turn around please.  If you can't get this out within 2 weeks, please don't apply to be an angel.

Here are Schnerby's faves/not so faves:

Favorite colors: black, silver, purple, turquoise, darker colours, bright colours.

Not so favorite colors: Orange and pink. I'm not particularly girly

What would be the main purpose of your Embroidered Panel ? I don't know. It would depend on the panel. I might use it to make a purse, or a wall hanging, or something else. We shall have to wait and see.

Would you like to receive embroidery, cross-stitch or both? Would prefer embroidery, or cross stitch if used in a non-traditional way (such as cross-stitching Mario or ironic stitching)

I LIKE (vintage, modern, characters (which ones?), cutesy, girly, revamp, etc) - list all that apply: Not cutesy/girly/floral really. Revamp is cool. I love Super Mario (particularly the Super Nintendo one, piranha plants, goomba etc.), Toadstools, Heavy Metal, the Finnish band Lordi, grammar, China (I speak Mandarin and have lived in China), anatomy, trees, birds, scrabble, leaves and nature, altered fairy tales, silhouettes, codes

I DON'T like (vintage, modern, characters (which ones?), cutesy, girly, revamp, etc) - list all that apply: Frills, lace, floral, girliness, country themes, pagan/wicca/witchcraft

Tell us about yourself (let it all out! Nice tips of patterns you might have loved at first sight, your decor, etc.): I'm a journalist. I love Andrea Zuill patterns, blackwork. I don't have my own house yet, but when I do I will decorate it madly!

Details of swap:
Do you like to embroider?  Would you love to have some cool wall art?  What about a funky pillow?  Something a little more classy on your walls?  What about a quilted wall hanging with an embroidered piece on it?   Then this is the swap for you!  You will be creating an embroidered panel that will be used as your partner would like - from simply hanging it on a wall to making it into a pillow or tote bag front!  Endless possibilities with an embroidered panel!
You will need to stalk your partner.  Based on their questionnaire and your stalking, choose a design (yours, a free one, bought, etc.) and stitch it!  The size of the finished embroidered piece when finished should be between 8x8 to 12x12. (i.e. 8x10, 8x12, 11x11, etc.)  Make sure you communicate with your partner! This is a relatively small swap, so we can have some quick and easy fun.

Rules and other info for this swap:
Once partners are assigned please post an update in this thread once a week. You don't have to write more than your crafting progress (status 50%) or even just "checking in", but you must post weekly.  Always keep in touch with the thread and your partner.  This will help stop flakers.

- If you will be sending late you MUST notify both me and your partner ahead!

- Delivery Confirmation must be purchased unless sending out of the country in which case you must get, and keep, a receipt. Please send me a picture of your receipt if you cannot do DC#s.

- When sending PMs please label them asEEPP Swap" + TAG with one of the following tags:
Approval
Sent
Received
Question

So when sending the questionnaire, the subject will read "EEPPSwap - Approval". When notifying me about sending and receiving packages, add the corresponding tag. If you just have a general question label it as that. This will keep things organized for me. Please do not forget the tag.

- I will set up a gallery once the first person has shipped. Please post pictures when your package arrives. Your partner put a lot of work into crafting for you! They deserve a little recognition! I will not leave feedback until pictures are posted. It is always a good idea to take pictures of your package before you send just in case your partner doesn't have a camera or cannot post pictures for some reason.

- FEEDBACK FOR THIS SWAP! This is how it will be done:
Great swapper: for those who follow all the rules
Good/Poor communication:where applicable
Sent late/early: where applicable
Did not follow shipping rule: failed to comply with the shipping rules
Didn't post pictures: failed to post pictures of what they received without an adequate explanation to their partner

Swappers will receive temporary negative feedback if:
- it is one week past send-outs and you are out of communication.
- It is two weeks past send-outs and you have not yet sent, regardless of the communication with me and your partner.

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Adorkable Baby Bibs! on: August 07, 2009 02:21:03 PM
My new niece will be arriving in October.  So I stitched these up for her (working on a quilt too - will post later Smiley ).  I've got several bibs left, might have to make some more!

Im a geek at heart and will forever be, had to stitch something that will influence River to the dorkier side of life.

Im a sucker for Robots and Robots that Rock are totally uber-awesome!

The world would be a much cooler place if Ninjas ruled the world.  And to be a ninja, one must be totally dedicated, might as well start the dedicatin at the beginning of ones life!

Rock on with your hardcore self!  How can anyone resist this absolutely adorable bunny?

7  UNITED STATES / Arkansas / NWA Craft Group? on: July 29, 2009 08:43:23 AM
I noticed there were alot of us in the Northwest Arkansas area... would anyone like to get together to laugh and craft? Smiley  I'm in Springdale and would love to meet some crafty friends.  I love to embroider (but I'm still a novice), paint, sew, play with glittler, etc.  If there's a craft I haven't tried yet, I'm sure I'll want to try it. Smiley

Just testing the waters to see if there's any interest...

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock on: April 30, 2009 07:44:55 AM
Well the Big Bang Theory Swap is over - and I've received a couple of PMs concerning my HUGE embroidered wall hanging that I did for my partner SevsOnlyGirl.    Whlie this was a swap - I thought I'd post this peice over here as well.  I'm quite proud of it. Smiley

EDIT: Add up close and personal pics Smiley

It measures about 19in x 26in.  I created the pattern using various pictures from the internet - put them in Visio and created my arrows/text.  Then I printed the pattern out on a transparency and transferred it using my blue - erases with water  - transfer pen and my overhead projector - so I could get it big enough.  When finished embroiderying, I sewed a border around it and the hubby made me a frame.

It was a lot of fun to do and really hard to part with.  I hope you all like it! Smiley

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hand Embroidered Burp Cloths on: January 17, 2009 08:06:38 AM
Two cousins in the Young Family are being blessed with little bundles of joy.  Hayleigh has already been delivered from heaven to her mom and dad.  Mollie will be here soon and her mom, Courtney, is awaiting her arrival.  So what do you get/make for babies that have just about everything already?  Designer Diva Burp Cloths Cheesy

Here are all six for Hayleigh.  Mollie got the same fabrics, but some of the embroidery is a little different.

Heres a full size view:

There are TONS of tutorials out there on Burp Cloths, but the one that I really liked (and followed pretty closely ) was at Chickpea Studio.  My fabric bands were 7 in x 20 in before ironing them under and sewing them on.  I did have to embellish the burp cloths though so I hand embroidered  the babys initials or name on the burp cloth as well.  Gotta personalize for the sweet angels. Smiley

Here they are all wrapped up and ready to ship to the moms.

Front of package:

Back of package:

The biggest challenge wasnt making these, but will be actually getting them in the mail before the babies are 2 or 3! LOL

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fabric Organizers - Made from Cardboard = Cheap! on: January 11, 2009 01:08:43 PM
My fabric stash was getting away from me, so with a little help from cardboard and rubber bands, I made organizers.  Think mini-me fabric bolts on my shelf Smiley

I still need to make many more, but this was a good start.  Really simple to do, very cheap supplies, almost instant gratification Cheesy

Full tutorial is on my site at http://www.siblingcraftery.com/2009/01/tutorial-fabric-organizers/

Enjoy!
