1  Re: May 2010 Birthday Swap - Discussion and Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Thomas Marow on: May 11, 2010 01:00:23 PM
Hey everyone- sorry I haven't been as active as I should on the board- summer semester just started, and this music class is kicking my butt already- it's a short semester, so the prof. is shoving all of the class into 2/3 of the time, instead of, you know, picking and choosing the most important parts.

Enough excuses though- I just received from PhoenixFireDesigns! And boy is it pretty- my sister (who doesn't do anything really crafty) recognized it right away, and loves it too! (She's the fashionista of the family).

So, without further ado, a picture!

I adore it! And now, time to run to more classes- I will be a teacher. Or die after taking all these classes Smiley

2  Signature stamp! in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by Thomas Marow on: April 24, 2010 04:08:51 PM
This is my first stamp, my signature stamp for letterboxing, which I've recently picked up. I've never carved anything before, so this was entirely new for me. I loved it, and plan on doing many more.

Carved with an exacto knife out of a pink eraser.

So, watch out for me- BluDragon-Fly!

3  Re: Gathered Roots - An Herbalism Swap R2 (Gallery) in The Swap Gallery by Thomas Marow on: April 24, 2010 03:50:00 PM
Just received my stuff from Jorie! And let me tell you, those chocolates are looking good after trudging through the mud letterboxing all morning  Grin

So, without further ado, PICS!

The whole Shebang!

Some scented rocks (I so want to learn how you did that!) in a potpourri hanger- it's going on my bed ^.^

Pine infused oil!

Dried flower Candles- I have a feeling these might get knapped by my mom.

Pretty herb planter- it's going in my desk window

The pretty design on the side of the planter

My new drying rack!

And some tea samples!

I can't wait to get to use some of these things- the drying rack is up first- it's dandelion season ^.^

Thanks Jorie for a great package!

4  New good-luck pencil skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Thomas Marow on: February 26, 2009 11:34:54 AM
So, today, after my hours were cut again at my current job (I'm now down to two hours a week), I got a call from the local nightclub, where I had applied for the job of cocktail waitress or go-go dancer (still not the strangest job I've ever had  Wink. I looked through my clothes for something that would be hip AND (And being the keyword here) grownup.

I had nothing.

So, I decided to cut into my pale blue pinstripe material that I had bought during the 'good days'. The first time- it was too small. The second time- it wasn't straight. The third time- well, if I don't bust a stitch, I will be looking both hip and grownup.

So, without further ado- My blue pencil skirt! Sorry for the blurryness, webcam is all I have

Front

Not too bad for my first article of clothing? Comments, concerns, criticism, all welcome!
