i dont have a website yet so i cant post pix, but i just sewed the sleeves i cut off from a stretchy purple sweater onto a light purple tee, then i ruched the front a little and then added some safety pin corset lacing on the back. it's pretty. yay!!! well dont kill me here but one time i put in a metal dish in the microwave and it caught fire. i was freaked.
when i made my record bowl a couple weeks ago i just stuck it in the oven at 200 degrees for 4 minutes. i put it on top of a glass cup and watched it flop over the sides.
maybe this would work for a cd too, i dunno.

yeah like that -except i thought i could make one with sorta wideish sleeves. i'll attempt at making it sometime this week, hopefully.

you know the kind of t-shirt with what looks like another one underneath, sorta like layering a short-sleeved shirt on top of a long sleeved one?
PS and i love the shirt that you made. Pretty! Cheesy

i was thinking, if i cut the sleeves off a long sleeved t-shirt or sweater and then sewed them onto a short-sleeved shirt, the result might be not so strange. like, a fooler tee except with wide sleeves. Smiley

im supernew here, (joined about 1 hour ago) and have no idea how to do nething, like post pix. Sad
well the crotch would be the head hole. get me?
and you would snip all the way down the fly or until the zipper, then chop off the ends of the legs (longish?) and rip off the pockets.but i think the sleeves might be a problem, probably would have to cut them off and sew them back on or something.

i read in this ym mag like last month or something about making a knitted capelet. i think it (the issue) had paris hilton on it
maybe ym.com might have some instructions
229  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / jeans to jacket? on: November 07, 2004 11:46:10 AM
i dunno if this would work but one day i had this crazy idea that maybe i could get some old huge jeans and make them into a jacket by:

-turning them upside down and cutting through the zipper fly part and making a neckline
-ripping out the pockets-would look kinda weird with them in
-cutting the legs shorter to make sleeves that would actually fit
-adding a zipper to the fly area, or not, since theres already one there?
-wearing it if it doesnt look stupid?

by these instructions, you can tell that i dont have much faith in this project, as i tried it once and the sleeves(and everything else) were all weird and scary-looking.
help! Undecided
