Another color changing bead set, just in different colors:

Some odd beads that are multi colored and have "scribbles" on them:

This was supposed to be my V-Day necklace but I never got around to making it till a LOT later.

A couple of earrings I was goofing off with:

A necklace and bracelet that I made for a really good friend of mine:

This is it WITH the camera flash turned on: (Sorry I have no close up's of it.)

Hopefully, things will die down and I'll be able to post more frequently again. Cheesy
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Pretties for my Momma on: November 19, 2008 10:45:04 PM
So, on Tuesday the 18th.. I had to rush my mom to the ER at 6:30 in the morning.  Kiss Talk about scaring the bluejeebees outta me. Come to find out, she has a 5mm kidney stone. She's told me that it's worse then childbirth at this point. They've given her 10 days to pass it. They also found an aneurysm on a vein and a cyst on her kidney. Embarrassed Soo in an attempt to cheer her up, I've been making her things. I came up with this set. I really wish the beads would show up right. They are gorgeous but doesn't matter what I do, they just don't sparkle the same on camera.  Smiley They are a light and slightly deeper blue glass beads with some weird stuff all over them that glints when it catches the light.

The full set:

The Bracelet:

The bracelet pic turned best and closest to the actual colors. =D

The Earrings:

Thanks for looking! C&C's always welcome. Oh and I should mention, this is the first time I hand made my own bracelet links! I loved it!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Zebra Print bracelet and Daisy Chain necklace on: November 17, 2008 06:09:58 AM
Hey everyone, So.. below are to of the things that have recently kept me busy. I made the bracelet about three months ago.. and I've had to "finish it" three times. I think it's cursed or something, the hook part of the clasp on it keeps busting and falling off. Not sure what to do about it , but I'll post the pick anyway (Minus clasp).

aaand the daisy chain necklace. Sadly, this picture doesn't do it justice at all.

Thanks for looking!
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Discouraged by clay... on: November 13, 2008 03:15:02 PM
Hey everyone.. I'm sorta stumped about something with my clay. I spent about three hours earlier making my first ever project. I got so excited! I made little gingerbread men to turn into shirt pins. They were so cute. (Emphasis on the were.) I followed the directions to the T.  I had my toaster oven on 275, like the package said, I even checked it with a hand temp gauge too.  Well.. I put the cute little guys in there.. in all their red, gold, green and brown splendor.. I set the timer for 15 minutes (again as the package said) and walked away.  I came back.. five minutes later.. and they were crispy! Only brown part left on them were their bubbly bellies. =(  Even the tiny tummy buttons were burnt. Also.. I had the WHOLE house full of smoke.  Shocked Does anyone have a clue what I did wrong? I'm sort of as the title states, very discouraged to try again. The little guys took me around three hours to put together.. I'm pretty much afraid to try again.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded Snowflakes on: November 04, 2008 10:01:58 AM
Heya,

So, below is my effort at beaded snowflakes. I've got about 12 of them made so I only took a few for the picture. I'm attempting to make a set of Christmas ornaments for a friend of mine who is blind and figured beads would be a great way to do it since they are textured when put together. Comments are more then welcome, as are suggestions and tips. I'm also looking for a different variation of a beaded snowflake so if anyone has it? Pleeease send it my way? Thanks!

(Sorry for the pic quality! They are actually really sparkly and shiny. Oh and the one in the middle is 3D (Two sewn together).)

Happy Beading!
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / A -bread- basket (Made from bread) on: November 04, 2008 09:51:05 AM
Definately wasn't sure where to put this. I was going to put it under cooking but it's not exactly edible.  Wink Anyways, I made this for my mom last Christmas. Sorry for the poor pic quality. Enjoy!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Beaded Christmas Ornaments. Suggestions really needed! on: November 02, 2008 10:59:53 PM
Hiya all you happy crafters,

So.. I've decided to make ornaments for a very good friend of mine for Christmas. He is blind, so I'm wanting to make them beaded since they have more of a texture then if I were to paint something. So far, I've found a really great tutorial on beaded snowflakes, but I'm looking for a few more.  Also, I'd love to find other beaded ornaments I could make as well to go with it and sort of make it a set. I've been looking for a bell, an angel and a star so far. Anyone have any suggestions for more ornaments and/or links to tutorials on these?

Thanks so much and Happy beading!
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Few new pieces on: November 02, 2008 01:27:31 AM
These are a few pieces I made on Friday. I've had all sorts of different colors of faux pearls for awhile now and I've been trying to make stuff to thin them out. I'm not actually a fan of pearls oddly enough. Also, they are actually blue, to me they look green in the picture. I'm not sure if it's the camera or the combination of what I used them with. Any ideas on how to fix the camera if that could possibly be it?

Blue pearl (Faux of course Smiley ) and hematite necklace and earrings

Candy beads! (Tri colored) and white cat's eye beads bracelet and earrings

Thanks for looking and happy beading!

P.S. For some reason, my edit in photobucket messed up. Also the date is forever off. lol it's two days later and now it says it's 6/14/08.. I'm betting tomorrow it'll be three months ago.
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Glass jewelry sets! Various items (Very Image Chubby) on: October 30, 2008 05:58:44 PM
So, this is my very first post on Craftster where I'm showing my projects off. I'm sorta nervous but the feedback and comments, even suggestions are more then welcome.  Smiley I've been making this stuff for about the last month, my prior stuff before that I don't have pictures of, some of it has tags on it but it's just so I remember how long each piece is without having to remeasure it and you'll see the strings from the tags in some photos. In others, I've tried to hide them. The date on the camera is also VERY off (The camera crashes when you try to change it Undecided). Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!

Catseye charm bracelet

Because of the elections, one night I was sitting and watching the debates. This came out of it.

Frog anklet - the bead charms are handmade

Christmas inspired since the Holiday is coming up. I wanted charms but I figured the star spacers would work well enough until I found Christmas charms I liked.

Hematite anklet

Blue and white frosted glass bead necklace and bracelet set. I fell in love with the charm and had to do something with it.

Black and pink choker and bracelet set

Pink pearl choker (The only one you can really see the tag in lol it says 17" just in case anyone tries to make out my handwriting)

This necklace was a birthday gift for my niece. She picked the colors and after I'd made it.. I seriously wanted to keep it. The photos aren't the greatest of it but here it is anyway! (Oh, I've also posted this before, just not here.)

Last but not least. A gift for my younger sister who is expecting.  The matching earrings were a spur of the moment idea and sorry for the picture quality. The Digi cam was on the fritz.

The charms are a pram, pacifier, bootie and a baby charm.

Thank you for looking and Happy Beading!
