their little paws are one of my favourite parts of them. <3

thanks guys, I normally am very critical of what I make but this I absolutely love. I made a bracelet tonight using more of the paw print shrinkies. I'll put it up when I get pics =)
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Rat Skull Necklace on: April 16, 2011 03:46:41 PM
I find a lot of rat/mice bones near my work, but never complete. I absolutely love rats (I have 12) but because I've always rented houses and never stayed long I've had my babies cremated when they pass because I didn't want to leave their little bodies when I moved house.

I have a complete mouse skull but being so tiny and fragile I was thinking the only thing I could use it for was something with resin casting. haven't decided yet though...

Love your website too, there are a few things I would like to get. Stupid lack of money. lol.

I love this <3

I know some find my views on this kind of thing morbid, but I find animals so beautiful that to see their little bones etc go to waste after they die accidentally or naturally makes me sad.

I made a necklace out of shrinkies of one of my rat's paw prints.

I had Skitz's paw print tattooed behind my ear for my birthday last year. She passed away not long ago and was my heart rat, so I used the print I took in November and made some copies so now I can wear her paw print near my heart whenever I want. <3

you're welcome tigarlilly. It was my first swap and I had so much fun. The turtle is from one of christi friesen's books, I'm so in love with her style. and the buttons, well when I went into the store to search for turtle cotton (who would have thought it would be so hard to find turtle cotton?) they had a big box of buttons that were marked down so I couldn't resist. >^.^<

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Ratty crafts - Pic obese! on: December 31, 2008 02:10:06 AM
thanks guys. >^.^<

so sorry to hear about ratties passing away. Cry I dread the day the first of my girls goes to the bridge, my oldest girls are just over 1yr. they really do grab at your heart, for such little, short lived creatures they manage to fill MASSIVE chunks of your heart.
