1  paw print necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Kyness on: April 15, 2011 09:07:35 PM
I made a necklace out of shrinkies of one of my rat's paw prints.

I had Skitz's paw print tattooed behind my ear for my birthday last year. She passed away not long ago and was my heart rat, so I used the print I took in November and made some copies so now I can wear her paw print near my heart whenever I want. <3

I gave the girls their hammocks as early chrissie presents.

charm and button claimed this one...

but later that night they were ambushed...

storm preffered the tube hammock...

but was joined by fudge not long after...

and they all loved the corner hammock too...

I think they all gave their new hammocks the paws up. Cheesy

and I absolutely love the dragon!! such a pretty colour as well.

and I also got a little hello kitty tin that is so cute, it's got some of my jewellery in it.

3  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by Kyness on: November 14, 2008 06:57:22 PM
This thread is awesome. Everyone's hair looks so great. My obsession with hair colouring started when I was 14 and I done it purple. I haven't had my hair it's natural colour since then. For a while I went back to dying it more natural colours like black and red/browns. Then when I got older I started out mixing black with colours I loved...

The first colour I did all over was blue on top with purple underneath.

Which faded to this in a few weeks.

I really wanted to do it pink again with less black but still kept some black to tone it down a little.

That didn't last long before I decided I wanted to go completely pink.

And then I went scissor happy and cut the bangs and re-dyed it, but with the natural curl in my hair and my "can't be bothered straightening all the time" I let it grow out - which was a pain in the butt. I loved how the colour of it looked though.

And then redone for a concert, the pink turned out more cotton candy coloured than hot pink like it was supposed to.

In the last few months it's been purple on top with pink under and then switched to have the pink on top of purple. And now I'm in the process of touching up the regrowth so i bleached it last night and I'm redoing the pink right now, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do underneath, no doubt it'll end up purple again if I can't decide on something else.

Sorry for all the pics. This thread got me all "hair happy"  Cheesy

4  Ratty crafts - Pic obese! in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by Kyness on: November 12, 2008 06:29:10 AM
My girls loved destroying - I mean redecorating - their hammocks that i was buying for them all the time, so I decided to try to make my own to see if it could be done cheaper.

This was my first attempt at a corner hammock, which some of the other fleece patterns I have underneath it.

And this was one I made for one of my younger girls when she was on her own in a cage until she was able to go in with my other girls.

And Fudge modelling it (not hung up yet but she preferred it as a sleeping bag)

And this was another corner hammock and matching shelf liner set I made.

And a cuddle cup I made for the girls to snuggle in on my computer desk if the got sleepy while free-ranging.

5  Wire wrapped shell necklace. in Beads: Completed Projects by Kyness on: November 10, 2008 06:09:44 AM
This one's a few years old now (I really must get some pics of my newer craftiness) but I still wear it now so I guess that means it's held up pretty well. lol.

I love purple, and I love using things I've found in the items I make. That inspired a few wire wrapped shells that I found which all were for other people (and stupidly I didn't get pics of them first) This one I made for myself but as i had run out of the shells i found it was made using one I had bought, still kind of had the same effect.

The darker sphere hanging from the shell is actually an amythest like the one hanging from the clasp, the light catches it funny though.  Undecided

6  "Winter Garden" lariat style necklace. in Beads: Completed Projects by Kyness on: November 07, 2008 04:38:08 AM
This isn't a new piece but it was my first attempt at not following a pattern or set design. I just made flowers and leaf embellishments and stitched them to a seed bead woven base. Some of the leaves/flowers and the base were influenced by patterns in magazines.
