im sorry mods if this was the wrong place but i figured "discussions about spinning" was appropriate.

is the anyone is sherman oaks/santa monica/los angeles who spins? who might want to get together? maybe even start a spinning/knitting/crochet circle? d love to meet some crafty people in the area and spin with some others. i taught myself how to spin and i sure i do it completely wrong (or different as i like to call it). i thought maybe a spinning circle would be fun to trade tips and tricks, drink some tea and just have some fun with other fiber addicts!

i just started spinning too and oh god its addicting. i have to sit in an office all day long and dont have a huge amount to do so i just spin! i still have the uneven drafting problem but i think its getting better. i found that the corridale i have was alot harder than the merino. im trying some banana fiber after i finish the merino skien!

here is my first ever fiber friday! i got my spindle about 2 weeks ago and then got some fiber from http://www.etsy.com/shop/FiberFancy and gosh is it gorgeous! its a 19micron merino and its so soft! its a little thick and thin which is not a decision but rather just my troubles with drafting. still a little hard to get it even but i think it works for this yarn. sorry for the photo overload! im just excited! its still on the niddy noddy because i havent set the twist

and http://www.etsy.com/transaction/49869375 is the original roving
