My Apple Cinnamon Gingerbread Men are on their way! Don't they look like the real thing? They still have to dry, but I'll also put a photo up of one of them "with icing" (AKA painted with acrylic paint). I'll let my partners choose whether they want it "iced" or plain (or even special "icing" requests!) FINAL VERSION Here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=394701.msg4684065#msg4684065And I am just offering 5. I would offer 10, but I can't handle the shipping costs right now. (So the rest go on my own tree or out for gifts!) As far as GatorWrangler's question. . . hm. So with only 10 participants it would mean that every 10-person would have to send out to all 9 other participants AND receive to/from everyone. Except that each 10-person wouldn't end up with enough ornaments back because there are six 10-people (and each 5-person only sends to five!). Also, it would mean that I and the other 5-people would only get to receive items from the 10-people's lists. So. . . I thought I was going to argue the other way, but after thinking it through, it may make sense for the 10-people to cut down (though this is just from a humble 5-person's POV!). [PS: Does any of my rambling make sense to anyone else? Haha. In my day job, I coordinate a questionnaire that goes out across Canada, so figuring out things like this is what I'm always doing]

Finally, here are my photos of the package I received from gogosummer! As she mentioned in her post, both of us were more along the lines of "daily" things with an apocalyptic flair (rather than the straight-out cosplay stuff). So, I ended up with. . . . Three bracelets, studs and apocalyptic colours. They look really good together. A grey, kind-of-skinny scarf, which I'm pretty excited about. I like the pattern with the um . . . long strings. . . between knitted (I think knitted, rather than crocheted) sections. (Can you tell I'm not much in the yarn arts?), and it's so soft! Perfect, because I needed a new scarf. A suede-y messenger bag. This picture doesn't full capture the colour (it's more brown-y), or the tones (patch on the front - with the same colour embroidered radioactive symbol - actually has kind of a tie-dye type coloration), or even the fabric (it's suede or suede-y). Perhaps it's not the best picture . But it DOES show that it's a lovely size, and has a handy strap, and will be great for travelling too, because it's light weight and adjustable. Thanks! Finally, there were some purchased extras. Some Korean candies (which I can finally eat since I've taken the photos), and a cute face mask, which is so delightfully Asian. gogosummer was afraid that it wasn't a "daily" thing enough, but I was totally thrilled to see it. You can bet if there's a real pandemic, I'll be wearing this. Haha. Thanks gogosummer! This swap was a lot of fun.

At long last, here are my photos of the cute hair things klg_jlg made for my sister! Clockwise from top: fabric floral print flower clip, brown fabric flower headband, plastic "coin" with floral print bobby pin, golden owl, fabric floral print flower hair elastic I gave a detailed description of all the things my sister, might like, even though some of the things contradicted each other. And I think klg did a pretty great job of sifting through the interests to make things my sister would like! I think the owl and the floral flower on the clip will be her favourites. But it's hard to say, she's a tricky one. Thanks klg_jlg!

I received 2 of my 3 packages on Friday, and here they are! Sweetyetevil claimed me for a bracelet for my mom and ornaments for my tree . The bracelet is (real) silver, with gems of a kind of neutral colour. I think it's perfect! And then we've got quirky cool skull snowflakes for the tree: mama24boyz claimed me for a cozy accessory for my sister - and made a set! There were the fingerless gloves with a pattern that I really like: And the neck thing (what is this called again? cowl? scarflet?) but whatever it is, it is exactly what I was hoping for when I somewhat randomly described a cozy accessory. Thanks to both of you, you both seemed to grasp my people very well!

I received my thank you package from margiej! I had told her I just moved to a new place and had very little to no kitchen accessories. She made me two potholders (excellent AND especially useful - I only had one ratty old one) And a frilly half-apron (very pretty! and In real life, it's much more. . .rounded, and apron-shaped). The neat thing is, she made it out of fabric with the same print on it as I had drooled over in the gallery. It's funny, because I had forgotten that I had actually written that comment down, and when I opened the package and was impressed by the fabric, and thought she had READ MY MIND by realizing my intense obsession for vegetable seeds. Lol. But I guess she got her knowledge from a much more mundane means. And she gave me the remaining piece of matching fabric! Thanks Margie!

I got spoiled by my partner, Ransom! We had agreed on "more than two" books, and I should have totally known to expect one certain thing because she mentioned in in her questionnaire, but still . . . I was surprised and impressed by how exceedingly delightful the package was! Here's my stack of prettily wrapped goodies: A mug rug, in action. (LOVE this toadstool fabric! Ransom also chose the perfect patterns for me ). The books themselves. I had asked for some Regency romances, and mentioned Victoria Alexander as one to collect - I ended up with two, and one is signed (I've started it already)! I also asked for something Ransom liked that might be new to me, so she sent a couple of books by one of her favourite authors, Jasper Fforde (The Eyre Affair looks particularly interesting). Finally, we have a shared love of fairy tales, so she gave me Grimm's Grimmest (looking forward to paging through this ). A couple of cross-stitched bookmarks - I am always especially impressed by cross-stitch because for some reason I don't have the patience for it. A couple of cute purchased items. I love the the pencil is from her local library. And the bookmark points out what line you're on! And finally, what is this (in such gorgeous fabric)? . . . . . . . it's a beautiful lap quilt! This is the item Ransom mentioned in her questionnaire that she wanted to make, but I hadn't realized it would be so big and lovely! Thanks Ransom, this package had me grinning madly!

And... margiej received from me, but doesn't have camera access so asked me to post pictures! One of her biggest wishes was light, summery cottons. The majority of my fabric hoard runs to darks, and I have lots of weird fabrics, so this is the bunch I came up with: I decided to fill out the package with a bit of pretty much everything else she mentioned needing. First, the random goodies: sparkles, beads/charms, and a few matchboxes that are the right size for the Fill-a-Matchbox swaps that you sometimes see around here: Then there was a collection of fun patterened papers and ephemera (plus sparkly fabric iron-on letters in the top corner) And then thread (most of this is extra from the epic thread package I got in the last Givers and Needers!), zippers, and lace.
