Non-hoop intrigue indeed! Here's my... um... rectangle from noodle-bug. Wink

It's an embroidered bear, set up in a white-painted frame, overset on a piece of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, with one of the most famous stage directions in theatre history.

... That would be "Exit, pursued by a bear" Wink

Thanks noodle-bug, such a neat interpretation!

And here is my lovely package from CDEeeek!

What is so dangerous inside this little box?

... the specimen is an UNKNOWN VARIANT

... there it is! Wink

And there's this lovely lacy spider hoop (I'm drooling over this one!)

And a handmade card!

(Oh, and note: the card in the package I sent wasn't made by me! I got a few cards in a previous Halloween swap, so another Craftster member made it!)

Anyway.... thanks so much CDEeeek! It was lots of fun crafting for you, and I love my package. Smiley

I think my favourite was probably one of my more involved ones. Perhaps Paul Stanley from KISS! Haha.

But growing up it was always creepy-ish, not feminine costumes (no princesses like my mom wanted!), mostly made from things around the house. Case in point - Pirate:

5  Re: 100 Facts about Me Swap Round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by psyche on: May 29, 2014 02:58:38 PM
I got a great package from Whistley! I am wildly impressed with a) how many facts about me she managed to incorporate into each item (even more than my as-yet-unsent package to her - sorry Whistley, it's coming!!), b) how well matched each item is for ME, and c) how super fab this package is!!

Item 1, based on:
19.   I grow vegetables in containers on my balcony, and have taught workshops on urban gardening. This year Im going to grow even more.
31.   I go to the farmers market almost every week.
32.   I go the library sometimes more than once a week.
33.   Big and sturdy tote bags are always useful for me, as are other market-going bags.
88.   This spring I intend to forage for wild edible foods.
.... A big, sturdy, veggie tote bag!

Item #2, based on:
18.   I am also collecting embroidery hoops (in hoopla swaps in particular) for a different wall.
61.   I have a particular obsession with the British Regency Era, including Jane Austen and historical romances
70.   Im into (bad?) puns and short jokes. I sometimes do a #fishjokeoftheday on Twitter.
84.   Downton Abbey is also super cool.
100.   I dont have cable, but will often binge-watch shows on Netflix. Just finished Bones (all 9 seasons), and starting on Ripper Street and Longmire (both also great). Other favourite shows include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Game of Thrones, Scrubs, Jericho, Castle, Hell on Wheels, Being Human (UK version), and Downton Abbey.
.... a pun-erific Downton Abbey hoop!

Item #3, based on:
36.   My favourite colour is probably eggplant purple. Teal/turquoise is also super fab. In wearables Im also lately into mustard yellow.
41.   I also like nautical themes such as tall ships, anchors, and octopi/squids
75.   I dont like things that are too pretty, girly, or feminine. At least not in a traditional way.
..... a purple octopus hat! (OMG this is amazing)

And the finale, based on:
9.   I keep a travel blog for my big trips http://traveljess.wordpress.com
10.   Ive visited 20 countries so far, and want to see the entire world.
21.   I have no pets, but I especially love cats. I will probably get one again soon.
22.   I really like pigeons. I had a nest of them on my balcony before, and I named them.
.... a traveller pigeon! Wink My favourite item, since it is SO ME and so unique (You don't know it of course, but I have a brown satchel of my own that looks just like this fella's).

Thanks so much Whistley, this is all so great! Good job figuring me out. Wink

Here's the super great places hoop I got from jexxican! Sorry for the lateness of my posting.

It's... well, what's this?

It's a triple combo hoop of three of my themes! HOMETOWN, CASTLES, and MAPS. It's a Topographical Map of my hometown castle, Dundurn Castle! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dundurn_Castle So cool!

And very nice stitchery too. Check out these bushes:

Thanks jexxican! I got so lucky in this swap. Cheesy

Holy moly, I received a super fabulous package from onyxnox! - on Friday, actually, so sorry about my posting delay  Embarrassed. She really took off on my gothy/creepy theme with plenty of skulls, as well as my bohemian theme (turquoise and brass!), and Pinterest stalked my wishes SO WELL that I have to even provide some links to show you all what a great job it was. This package is really up my alley, and I'm so excited about it all. Smiley

First, my neat "card" (she wrote on the back), which will be kept and used for something neat. Hm...

A pair of skull tea towels straight off my Pinterest wishlist! (See here: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/150307706288129382/). I can't even quite figure out the technique that she used to get the skulls on there. What was it? They are a bit darker than the photo looks though. Smiley

Another straight-up Pinterest item.... with a twist. She used the quote and image from one of my favourite Poe graphics, and turned it into a multi-media-ish wall art piece! (My pinned version: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/150307706283798981/)

I had mentioned that I've admired onyxnox's leather work and stamped metal work, and I got a combo cuff - with a favourite image of mine (that's scattered all over my Pinterest board) vintage poison labels!

Another piece of jewellery that combines the creepy and bohemian, and my personal desire for more pendant necklaces, plus more stamped metal! You may not be able to tell but the black beads are also skulls. On a Pinterest side, picture this pin: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/150307706288504551/ plus this one: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/150307706288504559/)

I also got a super tiny, metal covered, REAL book charm/pendant (should I write a real tiny story in it? Hm..), with a metal plaque with my name on it. Potentially inspired by this: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/150307706284746167/ - but actually even better. Wink

We also decided to swap some supply items on the side, so here they are:
More skulls for me! In Turqouise, black, and white:

A bunch of super fab vintage paper & ephemera goodies

And... yes, a piece of everyone's favourite "happy bunnies" fabric. Wink

Thanks so much onyxnox, this is such a fabulous package!

Here is the super great hoop I got from fancybutch! It's the skyline of my city (Hamilton, Ontario), but since it's not an instantly recognizable skyline... there's also a neat hammer. My city is kind of gritty, and the ex "Steel City"... but since the steel mills have shut down, the nickname is "The Hammer". Love the interpretation!

My slow moving package finally made its way here! I knew it was ONE of the lovely wall arts, but I didn't know which (and now I'm glad the second last sender didn't post a picture after all Wink, since it was still a nice surprise for me).

So thanks to faemystique!! Here's my lovely mixed media canvas with a quote from one of my favourite French philosophers. Wink Even bigger and more detailed in real life than I thought with the original shot.

It also came with several super fab extras: 2 Canada stamps (I'm Canadian, and she's a fan!), and two tasty items I'm excited about: Alaskan teas, and Alaska sourdough starter. Going to make some bread soon!

Thanks again faemystique, I'm glad it arrived. (And ratfinkz, since I think I was the last to receive, post away!)

Wow, here's my big (mostly) pink package from jennythor!

We've got. . .

A pink fabric scarf with a crow on it (nice and soft!)

Probably my favourite item of the box, a cardigan with skulls. Good choice. Wink

Corset-style bracelets. I like that pink leather!

Some found item crafts, with a rock she found (it wasn't originally pink) in a necklace and old copper church roofing as hair clips!

3-Doodled bat earrings (neat, I was wondering what that was made with) and a star ring:

Some bonus goodies:

The nice card and psychobilly-style hairclip

And last but not least, a selection of leather pieces! These are neat, and I'm sure I'll find something interesting to do with them. Smiley

Thanks jennythor! It's been fun doing this swap (and, um, I'll be sending yours by the end of the weekend. Wink)
