Here is the super great hoop I got from fancybutch! It's the skyline of my city (Hamilton, Ontario), but since it's not an instantly recognizable skyline... there's also a neat hammer. My city is kind of gritty, and the ex "Steel City"... but since the steel mills have shut down, the nickname is "The Hammer". Love the interpretation!

My slow moving package finally made its way here! I knew it was ONE of the lovely wall arts, but I didn't know which (and now I'm glad the second last sender didn't post a picture after all Wink, since it was still a nice surprise for me).

So thanks to faemystique!! Here's my lovely mixed media canvas with a quote from one of my favourite French philosophers. Wink Even bigger and more detailed in real life than I thought with the original shot.

It also came with several super fab extras: 2 Canada stamps (I'm Canadian, and she's a fan!), and two tasty items I'm excited about: Alaskan teas, and Alaska sourdough starter. Going to make some bread soon!

Thanks again faemystique, I'm glad it arrived. (And ratfinkz, since I think I was the last to receive, post away!)

Wow, here's my big (mostly) pink package from jennythor!

We've got. . .

A pink fabric scarf with a crow on it (nice and soft!)

Probably my favourite item of the box, a cardigan with skulls. Good choice. Wink

Corset-style bracelets. I like that pink leather!

Some found item crafts, with a rock she found (it wasn't originally pink) in a necklace and old copper church roofing as hair clips!

3-Doodled bat earrings (neat, I was wondering what that was made with) and a star ring:

Some bonus goodies:

The nice card and psychobilly-style hairclip

And last but not least, a selection of leather pieces! These are neat, and I'm sure I'll find something interesting to do with them. Smiley

Thanks jennythor! It's been fun doing this swap (and, um, I'll be sending yours by the end of the weekend. Wink)

My package to teaspoons and tiaras took FOREVER to arrive to her, but it's there, and since her camera is having an issue, she asked me to post some photos!

Here is the full package:

(with Toffee Caramel Pu-Erh tea and Lime in the Coconut green tea - my two favourites from the tea company I work for)

The crafty items were:
A tote bag

Matching bookmarks

A mug with an Agatha Christie quote ("Very few of us are what we seem")

And a little wire-wrapped teapot brooch (the safety pin isn't in this photo, but I promise it does pin on!)

6  Re: Keep Me Warm Round 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by psyche on: February 27, 2014 11:04:56 AM
Oh my goodness, I got a fabulous, very tea-licious package from honeyd!

First, as my drink accessory, I got FOUR tea towels, with embroidered tea sayings.

(Kind of hard to read in the picture, but the blue says "come let us have some tea and continue to talk about happy things" -  and the green says "you can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me"  - both quotes I recognize, and the second is CS Lewis!).

Then the orange says "There is always time for tea" (I think this one is my favourite - so intricate!), and the pink says "I say let the world go to hell but I shall always have my tea" (lol - I had to look this one up, but it's a Dostoevsky quote!)

For my cozy item, it's a hat! Beret style like I like. With a super cool colourful yarn! I will have to figure out the perfect project.

Then the tea came in a lovely paper-covered box, with a few bonus tea cards! (Everything was really nicely wrapped, but I didn't wait to take pictures.  Grin

And the teas themselves - 4 little glass jars of interesting flavours from McNulty's in NYC, which I had never heard of. Is it a one-of store?. Plus a mini  'I <3 NY" honey. Who knew they made things like that? Wink I will certainly use it, since I use a lot of honey. Though I'm glad it made it over the border! I think honey is one of those things that customs will sometimes nab and quarantine.

The flavours are: Berry Creme, Caramel (I'm most excited about this one), and Amorous Almond, which all seem to be flavoured black teas, plus Blue Eyes which is a herbal blend, though it looks like mostly fruit to me. All smell delish, and I'm going to have a cup in a few minutes!

Thanks a lot honeyd, it's a great package. Cheesy

Here's the super fab item I received from rjannelle....

A hobbit hole! (It is also a little box. With an extra bush inside! Wink)
Sooo neat. I love it, thanks!

And the book is Forests of the Heart by Charles de Lint. And nope, I haven't read it! I've read some short stories by him, but never a novel, and I love the Native American mythology interwoven with Irish mythology idea. Excited to read it!

And phew, under the wire! Here is my trapper hat, modeled by my sister. Excuse the fact that it seems we are in a messy trailer, because hey, we are in a messy (cottage-style) trailer. Wink

All right, then, here's a non-glarey photo of the item I sent, apparently to gamemom42! A whites & silvers loaded charm bracelet in otherwise no particular theme.

Oh, I also forgot to mention in the note: the seaglass was found on the coast of Western Africa. Smiley
