11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / First poppet! (And first post w pic *nervous*) on: November 05, 2008 09:34:47 AM
Well, first poppet, and first finished thing to come from the sewingmachine ever!!!  Cheesy
Im pretty happy with her, but i had some serious problem with the hip-joints (ended up sewing the legs to the body -.-') Used some old semi-fizzy yarn for her hair, and i löööv it Cheesy

I yet have some clothes to make, and eyes to find (Sweden sucks)

Presents Dahlia the poppet:

(xcuz the mess in the backround, i suck at cleaning my desk)

More to come n_n

12  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Forever to trace on: October 26, 2008 10:16:28 AM
Im a newbie at soapmaking, tried CP twice, and i dont think im doing it all right. According to the recipes ive tried it should start to trace after about 40 min of stirring, but my batches dont trace after about three DAYS!!!!!!!!  Shocked
Ohmy why??! Is my lye-solution not strong enough? do i stirr like an 94-year old? is my scale wortlessest? (direct translation of words ftw xD) or do i just suck at soapmaking?
