1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / First attempts at needle felting on: June 25, 2010 10:26:38 AM
I've finally got around to trying out needle felting, and I'm really glad I did! Its so nice to find a craft where you don't need much equipment, particularly if you're a student.
First i made a bunny (unfortunately came out a bit zombie-ish)

I made a little snail. It doesn't really sit upright but I still like it Smiley

Inspired by Krissykat's brain slug, I decided to make one for my boyfriend as it's his birthday soon. Its not nearly as good as the original but hopefully he'll still like it.

I also made a rubber duck.

That's about it. Comments/criticisms very welcome.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Chocolate box to matryoshka jewellery box on: September 17, 2009 04:09:10 AM
Hello, long time time lurker, first time poster Smiley
I needed a small box to keep jewellery in for when I go off to uni (tommorrow! Eek!) So I crafted one!
The main box was an old Ferraro Roche box (sorry i don't have any before pictures, I was too eager to get started!) First I decorated it with decopatch papers. Then I coloured and printed the matryoshka templates (from craftsbeautiful.com) onto shrinkable plastic. When they were done I stuck them to the lid of the box.

I also covered the inside with candy themed decopatch papers, although its hard to see in the photo. I was going to add fimo legs to the base, but decided against it.

Let me know what you think! Comments, criticisms and questions welcome Smiley
