It wasn't hard to sit down, but I did whack a few people with the tentacles at crowded parties.
5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Octopus Costume! on: November 01, 2008 10:00:36 PM
Hi guys; here's my octopus costume!

To make, I sewed a belt out of the satin fabric, eight tentacles, and then put them all together. Here's the fabric pre-tentacle:

And the sewn tentacles:

Now the tentacles are attached to the belt, but not yet stuffed or closed:

I stuffed them with plastic bags (because I am a poor college student Smiley) and added wire hanger backbones so I could adjust the legs however I liked.
6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Homer and Marge Simpson...with the amount of pics as big as my hair on: November 01, 2008 10:00:22 PM
Super clever, I like the idea of using a thrift store lampshade.
7  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Cookie issues - with sad little pictures. on: November 01, 2008 09:58:02 PM
Your pictures look like the issue could be (a bit) too much sugar. That or the cookie dough is too warm when you put it in the oven. The original toll house recipe is still the best for me, and sometimes I'll put the dough on the sheets and put them inthe fridge til they're cooler.
