Lovely yarns! I want to try spinning stuff into my yarns someday. Maybe one day I'll make a shawl too, haha. I have a couple patterns bookmarked. Belladune your thick and thin looks sooo soft I wanna hug it!

70% BFL / 30% Firestar
Approx 273 yards, avg 10-12 wpi (dk to worsted weight) but there are some thinner and thicker areas.

Now to figure out what to make with it!

So... I usually wear blacks and grays and figured it would be cool to add a bit of color to my wardrobe. I left my favorite scarf (which was black) in a bar a while ago so my neck has been cold all winter. It's almost spring, but the weather in the SF bay area is sometimes hot and sometimes cold. Right now it's raining, but about a week ago it was beautiful and warm outside. Anyway, I made a cowl! I'm really picky about what goes around my neck, and merino is just perfect. It keeps me warm and it doesn't feel suffocating, haha.

Started with 2oz of 100% superwash merino wool. Dyed red, gray, blue. Spun into singles, and then navajo/chain plied into a squishy bulky yarn. Knitted with size 15 (10mm) needles.

sarah - Your yarns look great! I hope I'll be able to magically spin even yarn someday, haha. Even though I prefer to spin thick/thin yarns lol I do occasionally spin normal yarns.

niks - Wow, that green looks bright! What are you planning on making with it?

MLF - I am amazed by your thin and even singles (and n-ply!)..

LL - I love your upcycled yarns... they look truly unique!

I have a couple of other skeins but one is for the fiber to fashion challenge and the other is still sitting on a bobbin.

Whoa, I'm definitely gonna try the pseudo rolag soon!! I have some leftover banana silk from a swap I just did (she's receiving today so I won't post the yarns just yet), I'll probably mix it in with some wool.

Anyway, here's all I've got.. It's the second skein I've spun on my new wheel.
