So I found this strange shrine/locker at a thrift store and - don`t ask me why - I absolutely fell in love with it. But it needed a change - a touch of new color. And since it is wonderful spring out here I went with spring green. Guess I will pray to the god of grafitti from now on  Grin

27  Project shabby chic chair! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Polly Peanut on: February 13, 2011 02:42:01 AM
Old chairs got style, don`t they? Well, unless they are in a ugly brown and the holstery is even uglier!

So I turned it into something I really really fell in love with! Took half a day and about 5 euros!

28  First time re-upholstering! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Polly Peanut on: February 06, 2011 01:19:15 PM
I got this naaaasty thing from my MIL and I hated it! So I went to the fabric store and boom! 3 Euros, 3 hours and 3 nervous breakdowns later it turned out into this:

I`m quite happy with how it turned out especially because it is my first time upholstering anything. Basically it was my first time using a staplegun and it was fun!

Can`t wait to make the other one tomorrow. If I can move again til then

I`ve been totally going crazy about making cushions and pillows. Here is some of my creations of the last days:

This owl is made of dark hot pink curderoy and Tilda scraps. The eyes are made of vinyl:

It is about 16 inch x 12 inch big.

And then I made these pillow cases:
