I had asked for some Frida jewelry and she sent me a ton! and I mean a TON!

first, there was a Frida bag (which isn't jewelry, but I had told her I liked another one that she had made and she is just so great she sent me one!)

a beautiful Frida bracelet

and another!

a Frida necklace!

and another (non-Frida) necklace. and a very awesome ring that fits perfectly!

8  Re: Buttons! LOTS of Pictures!!! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by stargirl on: December 16, 2005 04:33:46 PM
here it is!
heres all the stuff youll need.
again, make sure gold pieces is inside blue!!! put fabric around button top (with picture centered).
push button (with fabric) through bottom of blue thing until it "clicks" under the gold piece.

cut excess fabric, but make sure you leave enough all the way around that it will go under the other piece of the button. 1/4 inch is probably enough.
make sure all fabric is under botton piece.
put red and green pieces where they would normally go.
press
and your done!

any questions?

I received the greatest messenger bag from stargirl. It was exactly what I wanted. Right down to the superhero--Batman!!!! Thanks again stargirl. I am really glad you picked me. My camera won't upload to the computer so I can't post any pics. If you have them please post.

(the inside fabric and buttons i made from the fabric)

Dude, it's "awesome messenger bags from stargirl" day.  I just got mine, too!!  She chose my peppermint-theme idea, and she couldn't have done it better.  I was hoping it would be minty-yet-classy, and it is!  The outside is rich, red, velvety fabric, sort of like a courderoy, and inside, the lining is this freakin' awesome minty candy print!  It looks kind of like Starlight mints, spilled everywhere!

Not only is the theme perfect, but the contruction is top-notch.  I actually bounced up and down and said, "Ooh!" as I checked it out!  There is a zipper pocket inside (I am in awe of her sewing skills), and the whole shape of it - messenger rather than a simpler tote style - is just a treat.

THANK YOU, stargirl!  You're my hero!!

im so glad you guys liked everything!! ill post pictures soon!  Grin Grin Grin pictures added!

10  Buttons! LOTS of Pictures!!! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by stargirl on: December 15, 2005 08:16:18 AM
i made them with a badge-a-mint. it took about two days. the last ones are made out of fabric. sorry for the billion pictures, but there are a ton of buttons!

these set of fabric buttons i made a bunch of each, but they all kind look the same, so i didn't want to have that many more pictures!
