1  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Everything's PINK! on: November 16, 2008 05:46:03 PM
I'm VERY new to wool let alone dying wool roving. I spent a whole afternoon making what I thought was going to be awesome color mixtures, but in the end everything turned pink. I put the wool roving in different containers and set them outside for a whole day and then put them inside for another day. After I rinsed they all turned pink except for very light shades of green and yellow. Any tips on getting the dye to absorb? And what kind of results should I expect if I try to dye various shades of pink different colors? HELP!
