yeah, first you have to trim the images, and they need to be fairly lightweight paper or else they crinkle awfully when you stick em on the curved head of the tacks...

glue em on the tack, and then coat the top with either a varnish or an epoxy or some other clear protective coating (clearcoat nailpolish would probably work well)

oh my - all the new posts have gorgeous yarns Smiley
Well done, everyone!

I have some silk that i dyed a while back, but I still haven't spun it up.

Speaking of shepherds/shepherdesses - there are a bunch of naked sheep running around where I live - sadly, I haven't figured out who owns them, as I'd love to have a look at the wool!

I had promised myself I would never dye again after spending months dyed rainbow colors up to my elbows and ruining every shirt I owned.  But these hand dyed rovings are a terrible temptation  Cheesy
I can save you the trouble Wink

Greyling,
How did you like spinning the flax? I adore linen in clothing, but haven't yet brought myself to knit or spin with it...

ooh! Gorgeous!
I haven't done any spinning this week, tho I've been knitting like a crazed thing.

I did do a bunch of dyework though!

CoffeePot Rock, superwash Merino 64's - A friend spun a bunch of this up, and it's just gorgeous.

Orange Berry Sherbet - Merino 64's - I did a dye job of this stuff a while back and spun a hefty skein for a holiday gift  I love how bright it is Cheesy

mm mm! Brown and pinks - a favorite color combo Cheesy  This is Raspberry Truffle, superwash merino 64's

And finally, some lovely muted greens.  Chaparral - superwash merino 64's

what a beautiful start to the new Year!

I've got 2 to show:
Mint Mocha: A gift, that will be given away this afternoon Smiley
5.8 oz of handblended mixed wools

and I'm so excited, I finally spun another one of these skeins - it's my "signature" yarn (as in I use it in my shop logo and stationary etc)
It's called Desert Globe Mallow - it only gets made every now and again because it's so time consuming - but every time I make it, I fall in love again.
Spun from one of my own handblended batts -
merino & alpaca wools + firestar & angelina and the "flowers" are a bamboo blend yarn

It appears some of the old topics are being moved around.
This is not for this weekend - this was for LAST YEAR!
It looks like the big Fiber Factory sale happened on December 30th.
