11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Dayflowers and Leaves - Lace Scarf on: September 04, 2007 04:17:14 PM
Wow, that looks so delicate and beautiful!

I tried making the dayflower, but the pattern got too boring for me. Tongue

LOL, that's why I changed it up by adding additional lace motifs on either side Cheesy

yikes, it seems like forever since I've posted!

The yarns are gorgeous...

the Bon, sorry to hear of the troublesome times Sad my condolences on your loss.

Spinning wise, I've got these:

both skeins from the same fibers - main difference is one was handblended at the wheel while spinning, the other was carded.
They are for a wing o the moth shawl Smiley for the Spun Stitches knit along Cheesy

I've also got these:

spun from my own merino-firestar batts. Slight over twisting in some places, I was having some issues with the wheel Sad

mmmm lace Smiley
Pattern: my own - I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to type the beast out and make it available.  The two motifs have differing rows, resulting in a full even pattern repeat 80 rows in length!

I'm also toying with flipping the leaf motifs and possibly removing the "border" stitches between the motifs...but eyeballing the chart tells me it's going to take some fussing to do it.

Yarn: Spritely Goods Sylph in Globe Mallow

Needles: US8
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Bamboo Baudelaires on: May 31, 2007 04:16:13 PM

I finally got a chance to finish my baudelaires!
US 1
Yarn: Regia Bamboo Color

Pattern: Baudelaire from Knitty

Comments: Not bad once I finally got the sizing right (partially my own fault because I almost never swatch socks).  They are a bit difficult to get up over the heel, I suspect knitting longer before starting the gusset might have fixed that problem...but I'm not ripping em back again.

A much more lengthy discussion can be found on my Finished Objects Blog for those that are interested.

gorgeous, all of it!
I didn't make much progress on spinning - I was buried under 11+ pounds of freshy dyed yarn LOL - so I'll just ogle this week.

it's all so stunning I want to hug it all!

Well done, everyone! Cheesy
