51  Ignored til now! Kitty Bed in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by woodlandsprite on: January 10, 2006 04:37:09 PM

My silly cat completely ignored this kitty bed for 2 years. It's just been sitting on his cat furniture all this time - sewn out of festive christmas light motif fabric and lined with felt, stuffed full of polyfil and batting.  No pattern, I just made it up as I went along (mostly because I couldn't be bothered to actually *buy* him a kitty bed!

But he loves propping his head on one end and dangling his legs out the other Cheesy

52  Amigurimi Menagerie -Now with even more Sheep! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by woodlandsprite on: January 02, 2006 02:34:03 PM
While I've been biding time waiting for my LYS's New Year's Sale, I was determined to keep my knitting needles clean (stupid, I know)

But anyway instead, I did a bunch of amigurumi!

They are all from Amigurumi Collection Vol 1 (a japanese Amigurumi craft book)

And more info and ISBN info can be found on the links below the pictures.

First, a kitty:

And finally, a flock of sheep (since I can't keep my own  Wink )

more details here
I am especially pleased with these guy's collars Smiley They are red velvet ribbon with little red roses!

Updated - I have one more grouping of animals to show for the end of 2005 - (what can I say, it was a productive week away from work!)
5 Birds - to bring some brightness and cheer for the New Year!

Side & rear views of the birds as well as a bit more details and commentary availible here

updated 1/17 - go to page 3 for more sheep Smiley

56  Happy Tacks! in Completed Projects by woodlandsprite on: October 18, 2005 06:41:08 PM

Lookie Lookie! Not sure if anyone else has done the exact same thing, I'm sure some other crafty person has!  Unfortunately I don't have a bulletin board! So now my tacks are sitting in a dish with nothing to do. *sigh*

More details and a closeup can be seen at my blog:

**I've changed the photo to have it hosted by craftster. Hopefully it's working fine now!

57  Re: Knitty's Ribbon X-Back (My first non-scarf!!) in Knitting: Completed Projects by woodlandsprite on: August 09, 2005 02:03:38 PM
I finished my x-back - details on my blog
http://woodlandsprite.blogspot.com/2005/08/nearly-frogged.html

As you might be able to tell from the photo of the fabric (click thru for full knitting details) I substituted for a much skinnier ribbon yarn - lots of math Smiley but I'm happy with the results
