23  Handspun Blues - now knitted up! in Spinning: Completed Projects by woodlandsprite on: August 31, 2006 08:33:51 AM
I'd had that skein of handspun yarn I did a while back that I called "I've got the blues"

(unfortuantely the craftster photo is broken)
but if you want to see both before and after, the blog post is located here

Anyhow, I finally decided to turn it into a Clapotis inspired scarf Smiley  super fast knitting with large needles - lets just say I was in need of some instant gratification projects

25  Wooly Morning Glory Pillow in Knitting: Completed Projects by woodlandsprite on: August 28, 2006 11:57:38 PM

Ever since I created the Red Poppy Pillow, I'd been asked to create a knit verson...

So I finally finished it Smiley and the pattern is indeed available and free!
It's called Wooly Morning Glory, after the flower with the same name.

If you visit my blog(s), you can see if there is any resemblance Smiley and there's a link to where you can get the pattern!

This is 300 yards of handspun singles - handblended merino wool with some sparkle

Verbena colorway, in case you're interested Smiley from my shop

I can't wait to start knitting it!

gorgeous yarns!
I've been off from fiber friday in a while, but finally had a chance to do some spinning:

I call it "I've got the blues"
Not only because it's blue but because I'm not so thrilled with the results.

Anyone got any ideas for how to use or fix this yarn?  It' s handspun wool plied with chenille - the chenille didn't like it so much so it's not evenly plied and the blue handspun broke at one point after the yarn was set.

Sad

Ooh, all the yarns are so lovely!

Here are mine:

Mill ends  - blended on the wheel - Maiz Azul colorway

Desert Daybreak - Merino Firestar, one of my own handblended batts Smiley

Hmm. I might have to resize those photos at some point - I just uploded the same ones I use on my blog...

I suppose I should mention, my yarns are indeed availible if anyone wants to make them their own Cheesy
