1  Re: Warm Wishes for Yule 32 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by gogosummer on: December 23, 2011 03:40:25 PM
I received my package from Wulf, and I was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY by it.  Holy potatoes.  Wulf, you are incredible.

The whole package.  Two coffee cup holders (one TWIN PEAKS THEMED!!!!!!!), a foldable traveling altar, some tokens to represent the elements, some incense, and a maple syrup lolli.

Close up of the coffee cup holders.  They're beautifully made and just my style.  Wulf included two so my boyfriend could have one too Cheesy  These will definitely come in handy considering the sheer amount of coffee the two of us consume.

The tokens and lolli

The altar.  I told Wulf I don't really have room for an altar because I live in temporary housing in Asia (aka SUPER SMALL and I will be moving in three months).  When I unpacked this thing my jaw dropped.  It's beautifully made, with four little areas hollowed out for my tokens.  The one on the right has a small hole drilled into it to hold incense.  It's on hinges to it can fold up for easy moving/storage.  (It's also, coincidently, the same color as my floor, which doesn't make for the best photos.)

Everything again, with the altar folded up.  The little knobbies support it.

Wulf, thank you thank you thank you so much for the most beautiful swap package I've ever received.    I wish I could say something other than 'thank you,' because I don't think that quite covers it.  Thanks a million?  Thanks a trillion?  You're totally awesome and you make cool stuff and you're also really nice and I hope good things happen to you always?  Cheesy

2  Re: Apocalyptic Fashion Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by gogosummer on: October 22, 2011 06:34:31 PM
Got my awesome incredible package from psyche today!  She made me an aviator style cap, a bag, and some great gloves!  Neither psyche nor I roleplay or anything like that, so we were both aiming to make things we could incorporate into our every day wardrobes.  She did an AMAZING GREAT SUPER NUMBER ONE job!

The whole kit n kaboodle:

Close-up of the rad fingerless gloves.  Not only perfect for the apocalypse, but also for when I am too cheap to turn on the heat!

Really awkward close up of the little zip pouch on the front of the bag.  Also will be in use before the apocalypse for weekend trips and groceries Smiley

I love love love everything, psyche!   Thank you so much! <3

4  Bleached Stripe Jeans in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by gogosummer on: September 17, 2011 06:55:54 AM
I've had this pair of jeans for a while, and recently I've wanted to give them a different look.  So, naturally, the first thing that came to mind was to bleach the crap out of them:

I really like the lovely rust color the bleach made.

Details and a way-too-verbose tutorial are on my blog.

I got this card yesterday from Lolaandbean, for my theme of "creepy."  Thanks!  And funnily enough, the book you took the text from is one of my favorite books, ha ha ha XD

7  First embroidery: it's, uh, a heart. in Needlework: Completed Projects by gogosummer on: March 18, 2011 04:57:22 AM
My first time!  Split stitched the whole way because that's all I know how to do so far.  It's, you know, a heart with some rings around it and stuff.  Pretty self-explanatory, ha ha.
