1  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12-point Star Blanket~along (a.k.a. Round Ripple) on: February 01, 2009 03:10:18 PM
Zella-I'm not sure if your asking if the sweater or the afghan is hard to make but the answer to either one is - NO - they are both very easy to make.  The sweater is the 1st one I have ever made - its made in one piece - and so cute.  I made the crochet buttons according to the pattern also - easy-peasy!!  Give it a try - you'll like it.

I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in Soft Blue and Medium Blue.  The yarn is so soft - I really do love this yarn!!  Here is a pic of the sweater I made to go with it.  I haven't made one to match the blue one yet.

I made 2 ripples for X-mas presents.  The pink/white was my first ever ripple I ever did - I used the N hook pattern which uses 2 strands of yarn - it was very easy to do.

I was in a time crunch when I did the autumn ripple and did it in dc instead of sc which made it much wider - I'll stick to the sc from now on.

I also did another ripple but put in rows of popcorns but haven't taken pics yet.

I love this pattern - I have made 2 of these.  My first one was the pink/white and the second is the blue/white.  I made a matching sweater to go with the pink/white one and will make another to match the blue one.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / BICO sweater & round ripple afghan on: January 31, 2009 06:09:23 PM
This is a pink/white round ripple afghan & a BICO sweater to match.  A friend's dtr is expecting in the spring so I made the afghan in pink/white & then I made another in blue/white since I'm not sure which one she is having.

This is the 1st bag I made - I lined it and then trimmed the inside with a brown/white polka dot ribbon.  Also put in a pocket but didn't do a very good job of it.

I've made 2 of these bags and lined them.  This is the gray one with a gray/turq/white lining - I don't know why the gray looks brown.  I added a zippered pocket on one side and pockets on the other side - used a magnetic clasp at the top.  Also I liked the texture from the seams when I joined the squares so I used that on the outside.

I made this afghan for a X-mas gift.  I used the same blog for the pattern.

I really like how you updated a plain pillow - very creative.
