That's fantastic! I like to see ol' Chuck enjoying himself.

Love it! I love when vices are cute.

That is an adorable picture - your mom looks too cute!

It's good to see some Biden love, and you did good work on your stencil. It's nice to see politicial shirts that are well-made, creative and not just the plain old "candidate and year" type. Your shirt is likely to generate some real talk (and maybe jealousy - I wish Biden was my boyfriend!).

You always make the most adorable creepy things. And of course you stuffed your own rats. Kiss

Aaaand, here's the promised photo:

her name just has to be Sunny, or Summer, or some such happy thing. Haven't decided yet, but I love her little dragonfly charm!

blurry closeup of her face, but you can still see how cool her hair is - big loops of embroidery floss.

Sunny/Summer is completely cute, thank you digitalmisfit!

I'm on summer vacation, so I've got lots of patience...

digital misfit, I received your dotee today! I'll post pictures asap. The Canada post is crazy, huh?

Here's some photos of my goodies from the lovely Trocks:
(my roommate is modeling)

first off, a supremely useful apron made from sweet upholstery fabric - didn't get a full frontal view, but it's an apron. you get the idea.

i love pockets!

next up, a bag made of deelishus clock fabric and lace.

very steampunk, my favorite!

and finally, a hat of the 'fascinator' variety, with roses and veiling (it's a bit hard to see the netting in the photo.) Great photo - the flower print curtains, cat's eye glasses, and roomie's goofy expression really go together, no?

there were some cute little extras, though i forgot pictures of those. a little victorian necklace with the prettiest chain, and a vintage book of needles. both completely adorable!

here were a couple of pictures of the stuff i sent trocks:

she couldn't get a good action shot of the crocheted neckwarmer, so here's a medium-okay shot:

this is so fuzzy and warm - i love it and want to make one for myself, but not until it's colder. yarn is hot.

and the (also crocheted) lace cuffs, i thought they show to their best under sleeves:

okay, enough of tooting my own horn.

Trocks, you were a lovely swap partner! Thanks a bajillion!

Everything electronic hates me this week - anything more technological advanced than a fork is refusing to work for me. Ah well, at least I have sweet dotees to ease the pain!

So here are some supremely crappy photos of wondrously beautiful things (sorry for the florid prose today...):

this is a wild batik dotee from bertaberta -

crazy curly yarn hair and an amazing face -

isn't that face great? i love her little seed bead eyes - they really give her some extra depth.

and here is a swank red velvet dotee from craftydame -

the face is printed on fabric? i'm not sure exactly how that worked, but she's gorgeous. Kind of demure, but like she's about to do something rather naughty.  Grin
lots of sequins, beads, and a heart lock and key. Too sweet!

I'm going to try and get a full length shot and add it on. Keep your fingers crossed! Roll Eyes

Thanks for posting the grizzly card, crescent fresh! My scanner hates me and still won't work. Angry

Goodnorevil--is that machine stitched--the pink around her face? hand or machine--how did you get it SO perfect???

it's hand stitched - i'm just really anal about such things.

berta berta - i got your dotee and i absolutely love her - i'm so sorry it's taking me forever to post her, but i've been stupid busy lately. will do asap!
