2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / first try!!! on: February 21, 2012 11:36:56 AM
This is my first attempt at making amigurumi. It's a mish mash of patterns and some pieces I just made up as I went.
It was a lot of fun and I was shocked how fast they worked up.

Walnut

Peanut

Their far from perfect but my boys love them  Grin
I'm already working on some bunnies for my niece's birthdays coming up

Thanks for looking!!!

Thanks Cheesy I used dollar store arcylic paint mixed with textile medium (found at Wal-Mart) I iron back and front to heat set and it never washes out.

Thanks so much! I have to admit it was so painfully frustrating making the skull and crossbones LOL

I do all my stencils using freezer paper. So easy compared to anything I've tried before!! It works pretty awesome too on different textured fabric. Which these are, I was worried at first, but it was no problem Cheesy

I made these for my bestie for xmas. I think they turned out pretty good. Not as neat as I'd like but it's tricky with the tiny images.

And I stenciled this apron for my FIL

Thanks for looking everyone!!! Smiley

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / It's hat time again!!! on: September 19, 2011 08:00:37 AM
School has started and the weather is getting colder!! So I made some hats for my boys! I made them hats last year as well and I've decided that I'll be making them hats every winter until their old enough to be completely embarassed about LOL ( which of course I hope never happens )
They picked out the colors themselves and luckily for me I'm ok with the fact that they dont make their jackets LOL

I found a really easy pattern online for the hat another for the ear flaps and winged the ears.
And if anyone can direct me to an easy mitten pattern I would be so so happy!!! I cant seem to find any that make any sense to me LOL and I would love to be able to make them a full set!!
Thanks for looking everyone!
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: I finally had the guts to do it!!! on: September 14, 2011 02:49:41 PM
Thanks for the comments everyone!  Grin
All in all the project cost me $8! I had sandpaper and primer already, so I just needed a new jar of chalkboard paint!
And I have to say I completely love the fact that I have somewhere to keep a grocery list when I think of something without losing it LOL I'm constantly writing little notes and lists and losing the papers before I get a chance to use them so it's perfect! And the kids cant reach the freezer so my lists are always where I need them  Cheesy

Thanks Everyone.
It took a few months of me trying to decide if I was actually gonna paint it, but my fridge is old and scratched and dented. I figure either I'll need a new fridge or I'll move at some point so I'm not too worried. BUT I have primed my fridge just like you would anything and I painted white few times to make it look a little less like garbage, so I guess you could change up the color too if you wanted!! But I figured chalkboard paint was really fun  Grin
