I made these for my nephews birthday last week. I love love love the thickness of the boys cotton shirts! They are so much nicer to work with that girls shirts.....I had zero problems and I think they turned out fab!!!

I was bored this morning and printed off a few pics I had saved, cut some fabric and away I went!!!
Their a little small, mostly because I wasn't sure I'd have enough stuffing, which I do, so I may make a few more. These were super easy cushions to make and I love the designs even though my sewing skills arent the best and I have spots that bled, I loves them

I made this for my best friend for xmas. We're both book lovers and I love love love clocks, and I kinda wanted to make it for her to symbolize all the time we've spent together  kinda sappy but I loves her alot!
The book was a random book that I got from the thrift store, I read it and didn't like....I had the paper on hand....and I only had to buy the ribbon, clock parts and some paint to redo the hands and numbers.





The color of the ribbon and the hands are actually much closer in color than it looks in the pics.

So here's another gift I made! $4.99 plate from ikea, chalkboard paint, and a plate stand! Voila! I did this for my MIL and bought her an international cook book as well....pretty reasonable price and I'm pretty darn happy with it!

So I totally copied someone's idea that I found online, I just have no idea where I found it, otherwise I would give them credit.....anyways, I was totally stumped on what to buy my niece who's the youngest of 4 and still a teeny baby. Needless to say toys and clothes were kinda outta the question....so I wanted something special for her...ok now I'm just rambling lol
It's just paper, made to look all nice. Unfortunately it's kinda wrinkely but I still love it....

So here are my completed x-mas gifts for my sons, and my nephews. I found this tutorial somewhere and now I cant find it but I can post a tut of my own if anyone wants it.
I used cotton fabric, ran through the printer for the outline of the image, which unfortunately used ALOT of ink, so I ended up having to color over the outline with a fabric marker and then, by the last few I had to finish up using a good ole sharpie LOL
The used crayon for the color and ironed it after to set the image. The outline took the longest but after that it moved really quickly!

My super hero crazy boys!!!
I made my youngest the cape out of an old t-shirt and freezer paper stenciled it.



I made the shirt with freezer paper stenciling again, it's just an over sized shirt he had in his closet that I didn't know what to do with.....



And my oldest in his store bought costume (BOOOOOOOOO  ) only because his aunt bought it for him for his birthday in August and he's been wearing it nearly everyday since, just so he has lots of "practice" I tried to convince him to let me make a new one but he would not allow it 
But he's still pretty darn cute!




 

Two shirts for my niece's b-day. I got all adventerous and decided to try bleach stencilling for the first time....first thing I probably shouldn't have tried it on this project and second I think my stencil was too detailed....


The O was supposed to be a fancy skull....I think the fabric was wrong too....oh I think it looks ok anyways

And an inside joke between her and her cousin...

This turned out pretty good, nice and simple!

And any bleach tips would be great!!!

I need to make cupcakes for my nieces b-day tommorow and I realised I dont have a stand....so I made one! I found a few other tutorials online and mixed and matched some ideas.
I found three different ugly plates in my cupboard,


and some old pots, washed and sanded down a bit,


marked off their placement and chose a design,


cut out my design,


then Gorilla glued my plates and pots together,


then I spray painted them outside, because thankfully we still have warm weather, coated with two coats,


left it all to dry for 24 hrs and voila!!!






The best part of this project is I used all things I had leftover around the house....only down side to that is running out of paint when I was painting the underneath LOL But frankly who cares if the bottom plat isn't painted LOL?!
