1  Spooky fireplace in Halloween Decor and Parties by MaggieMo on: October 26, 2009 01:32:56 PM
My house is still going through some construction and so when we were preparing for our halloween party this weekend I was really annoyed because my fireplace is still tore up with the tile removed.

so last minute I painted this scene using brown paper I had in a large roll from painting furniture outside

I think this is kinda cute, even if your fireplace isn't torn up, I didnt have much time so the quality of my painting is pretty sad but everyone got a kick out of it.

3  Machine problem in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by MaggieMo on: May 13, 2009 04:39:32 PM
Ok see, I am working on a project I wanted to have done by the 23rd its a craftapple car organizer I wanted to modify for beach use in time for my vacay in florida and the needle and holder fell out, along with this small piece to the side of it, at first I though the needle just fell out but I was wrong, I am pouring over the manual I downloaded from the internet its a brother xl-5130.

I have never experienced this one before and not sure

has this happened to anyone else? In the past when I have had issues my mom was there to tell me whats up but Im on my own on this one unless I take it to someone to find out

6  Re: Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas tin in The Swap Gallery by MaggieMo on: December 15, 2008 04:52:40 PM
I got my tin from plucky! We sent on the same day so hers should be there or close behind.

I was so excited when I opened the mail box I didn't expect it so soon and she totally blew me out of the water (my boyfriend happily pointed out lolol)! I love it - its adorable, I'm taking it to my office to decorate with holiday cheer in the morning.

Sorry about the glare on my pics I have a new camera and haven't worked out all the settings, my camera doesn't do the goodies justice!

- It came in a cute little stocking

>
- the front

the back up close

- further away without as much glare

- inside

- up close

I got the cutest magnets! hehe and an adorable ornament, unfortunately I wont be having a tree this year because hurricane Ike blew a hole thru my roof and ceiling and the damage runs through half my house so I have nothing set up in my living area or dining room because every time it rains it comes in and soaks everything - joy  Tongue and its still not fixed argh! but I will put it on my fridge with the cute magnets and my Christmas cards  Grin
I also got some adorable earings I can wear and some erasers  Cheesy

- heres a magnet up close the glare is pretty bad I couldn't situate right to avoid it I will update my post later tonight if I can figure it out.

oh oh I forgot to get the sides - theres lovely ribbon around it - I will figure out the camera and modify my post with better pics plucky I just couldn't wait to share

7  Cobra Commander - GI Joe in Halloween Costumes by MaggieMo on: November 02, 2008 03:30:15 PM
I made my boyfriend a cobra commander costume:

Next to him is our friend Omar

The inspiration:

&

So I bought a blue track suit from academy and painted the cobra commander logo with acrylic paint, lol couldn't be bothered to buy fabric paint which would have been a lot better but oh well it turned out ok. I bought matching blue fabric to make the mask from walmart, thankfully when they remake the GI Joe movie they are redesigning his mask...

I also bought white chord from walmart to make the top look like a general suit more instead of a track suit

we had the bb guns, and a gun holster, I re purposed some camping gear for the straps on his legs and he also had black leather gloves which didnt make it into the picture, it was a very HOT Halloween costume so he took pieces off pretty quick!
