Thank you for all the kind comments They Wavy stitch is actually my version of the stem stitch. Instead of starting my stitch to the side of the previous stitch I basically come through the hole where the last stitch ended. I hope that makes sense, it did in my own mind
I grew up with a family of four with one bathroom and one major problem with that bathroom....it was my dad's favorite place to read!!!! Well, I'm not sure it was his favorite but he would stay in there and read for long periods of time while the rest of us lined up in the hallway doing the potty dance waiting for our turn. So when I came across this pattern I almost died laughing in the store. My mom promised to let him hang it in the bathroom and so I started stitching.
So I made 3 different clocks for Christmas presents this year
Star Trek for my Father in Law:
Batman for my Brother in Law:
and Smokey the Bear for my Dad:
After I already gave them away my dad noticed that I hada brain fart and put the hands back on out of order... so a tip If you make these yourselves put all the hands to 12:00 and adjust from there !
My cousin and I share a love of Animal Crossing. I was stumped on what to make a 13 year old boy for Christmas. So I came up with this. I am one to give credit where credit is due, I learned how to use this technique from a tutorial by OneChordWonder whose work I admire greatly.
