1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Tiny Sewing Machine on: November 20, 2011 01:22:27 AM
http://adelaide.gumtree.com.au/c-Stuff-for-Sale-other-stuff-for-sale-Baby-sewing-machine-W0QQAdIdZ329201610 What do you think of this miniature sewing machine? I am on a very strict budget right now, and I don't have much space, which is why I'm very tempted. I won't be doing really fancy sewing. What sort of thing might go wrong with a machine like this? Would it be a complete waste of money? Or would it be fine for my basic sewing craft projects, hemming, etc?

Woah. One day I hope to have the talent to make something like this!

Absolutely adorable.
Did you ever hear of a shop called The Lost Forest? (There was also an Enchanted Forest), and it sold soft toys that were all made up, and they all had little stories to go with them. I loved that shop as a kid (it's sadly closed down) and this would fit right in.
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: zippered laundry bag on: May 28, 2011 09:12:31 PM
Wow, that is fantastic! Smiley I'd need it lower down so I could reach though  haha. So jealous of people who can 'whip things up' in just a few minutes. I might need to make one of these.
5  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Rag Dolls For Charity on: September 08, 2010 11:44:51 PM
I think she's a she. Smiley No, she's not got a name, that'll be up to the little girl or boy who gets her!
She's now dressed in a polka dot blouse and a red skirt. Underwear will be soon then a necklace. Cheesy
Then she'll be done! I could make shoes and a bag and a coat... or at least just a coat but I think that'll just take me too much time, considering I want to make as many as I can.

Unfortunately not in Perth. Sad

I have failed the non floppy neck part of it with this doll! She wasn't floppy until I started pulling her more for the wig part. Sad Whoops. Next one will be better! Cheesy

I like how you did their underwear, I've been trying to make brief styles and they're so hard to do! I think boxers will be better.

Here's my first attempt so far.
8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Tasty meals for beginners? on: September 07, 2010 10:51:35 PM
I don't think I know absolutely nothing. I still struggle with basic things but I need to practice them to learn how to do them properly. But thanks for the basic help links!

10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Flattering vintage style? on: September 07, 2010 10:48:26 PM
I just wanted to clarify that I'm not actually looking for a real vintage pattern, but modern patterns that look vintage.
