I made this top for my daughter from a pattern on YCMT for a stripwork jumper. I made it shorter to use as a top. The fabric is from Wal-Mart! I loved the color combinations. Any comments would be appreciated.
This is a top and pants that I made for my 13 month old daughter from patterns I purchased on youcanmakethis.com (Portrait Peasant Top and Easy Fit Pants). I LOVE these patterns. Very easy and versatile. There are lots of options for making them different lengths, styles, etc. The fabric I used was given to my by my cousin...lightweight denim for the pants and cotton print for the top and cuffs.
Here are two of my latest creations for my 13 month old (wearing 18 mo clothes) DD. The first is my take on the "Hanna A" play dress. I measured a dress of hers and came up with my own pattern. I think it turned out pretty good-also only my 2nd time working with knit fabric! The second piece is a tank top, also worn with long sleeves underneath. It is from this tutorial: http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=JC&Screen=CHILDTOP. I had made one before and this time elongated the bodice a bit to fit my tall daughter. Any comments would be appreciated! :-) Click on the pics to see them bigger.
I am looking for a pattern for my daughter (wearing size 18 months) that is similar to Hanna Andersson's play dress seen here: http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|1|2|24|25|1||&simg=29638_Y08 either with long or short sleeves. I have been looking and looking and haven't found anything! I don't want a zipper closure, I would like it to be sized for stretch knits. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!!
I have a cute vintage Simplicity pattern that I am going to begin working on for my 1 yr old DD. The hooded jacket that the pattern includes does not have a lining, but I would like to give it one. Does anyone know of a good tutorial/website/other simple instructions for lining a jacket? Thanks!!
Does anyone know of a tutorial/pattern/technique for making a felt party hat? I would like to make some for my daughter's first birthday party. It seems simple enough, but I am one who likes to follow someone else's directions! If anyone can help, I would appreciate it! Thanks!!
Here is a top I made for my daughter-excuse the misshapen look-of course I forgot to take pics until after she wore it. The top is brown baby cord and the bottom and facing are a brown floral print I got at Joann's. It is made from this tutorial: http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=JC&Screen=CHILDTOP I subbed light blue snaps for the buttons that are supposed to be on the back. I am currently terrified of buttonholes. I am hoping to overcome it someday, but right now, snaps are easier!
